Daisuke Miyagi started for the Buffaloes on Oct 21. He was supported by a 2 run home run by Tomoya Mori, and an RBI by Yutaro Sugimoto. The Buffaloes won 3 to 2 against the Marines, to advance to the Japan Series.

The Buffaloes shut out the Marines 2 to 0 on Oct 20.

On Oct 18, the best pitcher of the season Yoshinobu Yamamoto started. But he had his worst performance giving up 5 runs in 7 innings. His teammates did not let down their ace. On Kotaro Kuribayashi's RBI, the Buffaloes in the end won 8 to 5.

On Oct 17, in the 10th inning, the Marines Hisanori Yasuda hit a 2 base RBI off Ryosuke Ootsu to clinch the game 4 to 3 and advance to the Climax fina.

On Oct 15, the Hawks Yuki Yanakita hit in a game winning run to defeat the Marines 3 to 1.

Mr. Perfect, Roki Sasaki, who was out much of the later half of the season pitched 3 perfect innings on Oct 14. The Marines overwhelmed the Hawks to win 8 to 2 in front of 291261 fans.

Oct
The Hawks secured its place in the Climax Series on Oct 7 after a tie in the game against the Golden Eagles. Then on Oct 10, the Marines defeated the Golden Eagles. As a result the Marines finished 2nd in the league.

Fierce competition for a place in the Climax Series continues. On Oct 1, the Golden Eagles won its 3rd game in a row. It's in a game against the Buffaloes. But it lost facing the Hawks the next day and lost on Oct 3 too. The Marines, beat the Lions on Oct 1, and won the next day to surge to 2nd place. The Marines lost the on Oct 3, but beat the Buffaloes on Oct 4.

Sept
From Sept 26, the Fighters faced the Marines, won the first on a homerun by Chusei Mannami, won the 3rd on his RBIs. The Marines had a dramatic win over the Lions on Sept 30. The Hawks are in the top 3, by winning 2 games from Sept 29.

The competition for 2 teams to advance to the climax series is competitive. Those who face the Buffaloes struggled. The Hawks on Sept 23 lost. The Lions lost the first 2 games from Sept 24, won the 3rd. From Sept 24, the Hawks beat the Marines in 2 games to rise to 2nd place. The Golden Eagles beat the Fighters in 2 games to come in right behind the Hawks.

The countdown to the Buffaloes league victory was nearing its end. On Sept 19, it beat the Marines. The next day, it defeated the Marines again on Noguchi's RBI. With this victory the Buffaloes clinched the league pennant for 3 years in a row.

The Buffaloes from Sept 16, played against the Golden Eagles and won 2 of 3 games. The Marines won 2 of 3 games against the Lions. The Fighters recorded 2 homers by Chusei Mannami on Sept 16 to defeat the Hawks. It won again in the next game, lost the 3rd.

From Sept 12, the Buffaloes and the Fighters won a game each. The Hawks played against the Lions 3 games, won 2. The Marines and the Golden Eagles faced eachother and won a game each. The Golden Eagles and the Buffaloes played against eachother on Sept 14. and the Buffaloes Tomoya Mori slammed a 2 run home run to win.

On Sept 9, the Buffaloes Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched a no hitter game. With Yutaro Sugimoto's 3 run home run the team won against the Marines. The Buffaloes won the next game. From Sept 8, the Hawks faced the Golden Eagles, lost 2 of 3 games. The Lions beat the Fighters in all 3 games.

The Buffaloes lost against the Lions in 2 games from Sept 5.In the 2nd game 40 year old Takeya Nakamura homered twice. The Hawks faced the Marines from Sept 5, and won 2 games.

On Sept 1 the Fighters defeated the Buffaloes, but could not hit in runs from Yoshinobu Yamamoto and lost the next 2 games. The Lions faced the Hawks from Sept 1, won the first on Takumi Kuriyama's 3 run home run. The Hawks clinched the next 2 games. The Marine's Gregory Polanco blased a 2 run homer and singled on Sept 1 to defeat the Golden Eagles. The Golden Eagles won the next 2 games.

From Aug 29, the Hawks beat the Buffaloes in 2 of 3 games. The Marines defeated the Fighters in 2 of 3 games. The Golden Eagles beat the Lions in 2 of 3 games. The 2nd game victory was on Eita Asamura's dramatic 3 run home run.

The Buffaloes faced the Marines from Aug 25, won the first, tied in the 2nd beat them in the 3rd. The Golden Eagles defeated the Golden Eagles in all 3 games. The Fighter beat the Lions in 2 of 3 games.

From Aug 22, the Buffaloes beat the Lions in all 3 games. On Aug 23, Yoshinobu Yamamoto started and won hiis 12th game. The Hawks beat the Marines in the first 2 games, lost the 3rd. The Fighters played 2 games against the Golden Eagles and won both.

The Hawks Shuta Ishikawa hurled a no-hitter game on Aug 18 against the Lions and won. The Hawks won the next on a squeeze by Taisei Makihara. But the Lions won the 3rd. The Buffaloes tied against the Fighters on Aug 18 and won the next 2. The Marines won 2 of 3 games against the Golden Eagles.

From Aug 15, the Marines lost all 3 games against the Fighters. The Lions won 2 of 3 games against the Golden Eagles. The Hawks on Aug 16, defeated the Buffaloes started by Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The Buffaloes won the next day.

The Golden Eagles Takayuki Kishi shut out the Buffaloes on Aug 11, the Buffaloes won a shut out game on Aug 13. From Aug 11, the Fighters beat the Hawks in 2 of 3 games. The Marines won 2 of 3 games against the Lions.

On Aug 1, the Buffaloes ace pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto won his 10th game by preventing the Golden Eagles from hitting in runs in 7 innings. The Buffaloes won the next, but lost to good pitching by Masahiro Tanaka in the 3rd. The Fighters won 2 of 3 games against the Marines. The Lions shut out the Hawks in 2 games.

The Fighters won its 3rd straight game on Jul 28, but lost the next 2 to leader, the Buffaloes. The Marines Katsuya Kakunaka blasted a 3 run home run against the Hawks to win the first game. It won the next, but lost a very close 3rd game. The Golden Eagles won 2 of 3 games against the Lions.

From Jul 25, the leading team the Buffaloes lost 2 games against the Hawks. The Fighters ended its consecutive loss at 13 and defeated the Golden Eagles in 2 of 3 games with contributions by Chusei Mannami. The Lions Kona Takahashi shut out the Marines in the first game, and the Lions won the next too on Takumi Kuriyama's home run.

Competition of the regular season resumed on Jul 22,after the all star break. The Buffaloes beat the Fighters in 2 games. The Marines defeated the Hawks in 3 games. It's the Hawks 12th defeat in a row. The Lions and the Golden Eagles won a game each.

The Buffaloes from Jul 15 faced the Hawks and won all 3 games. The Marines won the first game, while the Golden Eagles won the 2nd on 2 home runs by Keita Asamura, and also won the next game. The Lions on Takeya Nakamura's RBI took the first game from the Fighters, then Nakamura homered a 2 run in the next to win and making the Fighters fall to the final ranking. The Lions clinched the 3rd game too.

On Jul 11, the Buffaloes Cedeno grand slammed to beat the Marines. The Marines won the next in which star pitcher Roki Sasaki struck out 17. The Golden Eagles from Jul 11 beat the Fighters in all 3 games. The Hawks and the Lions played on Jul 10, then 2 games from Jul 12. The Lions won all 3 games

From Jul 7 the Golden Eagles defeated the Hawks in all 3 games. As a result the Hawks fell to 2nd place. The Buffaloes ace pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto struck out 13 and won his 8th game on Jul 8, to beat the Lions. The Buffaloes won the next game too with Leandro Cedeno hitting a 3 run home run. The Marines beat the Fighters in 2 games.

The Hawks faced the Fighters from Jul 4 and won 2 of 3 games. The Buffaloes clobbered the Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka in the first game, but lost the next 2. The Marines defeated the Lions in all 3 games.

On Jun 27 the Buffaloes Tomoya Mori homered to give his team a victory over the Marines. The Buffaloes clobbered the Marines in the next game. The Fighter Chusei Manami slammed a 2 run homer on Jun 27 to defeat the Lion. The Lions won the next. On Jun 28, the Hawks beat the Golden Eagles.

On Jun 26 in the only game that day, the Golden Golden beat the Hawks. Masahiro Tanaka won his 4th game.

From June 23, teams were back playing in their league. The Hawks defeated the Buffaloes in the first 2 of 3 games to win. The Marines won in very competitive 2 of 3 games against the Fighters. The Lions beat the Golden Eagles in all 3 games.

The Golden Eagles on Eita Asamura's 2 run home run beat the Fighters on May 25. It lost the next byt won the 3rd. The Hawks on May 27 won on Yuki Yanagita's RBI against the Marines. The Marines won the next day.

The Hawks beat the Fighters in 2 games from May 23, including a win by its 42 year old pitcher Tsuyoshi Wada. The Fighters won the 3rd game on Chusei Mannami's 2 run home run. The Buffaloes played against the Golden Eagles 2 games and won both. The Marines blasted against the Lions on May 24 to win.

From May 19 the Fighters face the Buffaloes, won the first 2 games, but lost the 3rd. The Hawks beat the Lions in 2 of 3 games. The Marines won 2 games against the Golden Eagles from May 20, extending their consecutive win to 5 with a tie in between.

From May 16 the top 2 teams faced eachother. The Marines and the Buffaloes tied in the first game, but the Marines won in the next 2 games surging to first place. The Lions won the first game agaisnt the Fighter s but the Fighters won the next on Naoyuki Uesawa's shut out pitch and also won the 3rd game. The Golden Eagles and the Hawks won a game each.

The Buffaloes faced the Hawks from May 12, won a game, lost a game and tied a game. The Lions and the Golden Eagles too tied in one, and won a game each. The Fighter and the Marines won a game each from May 13.

The Buffaloes Hiroya Miyagi shut out the Golden Eagles on May 9. The Buffaloes won again the next game but lost the 3rd. The Hawks won 2 of 3 games against the Fighters. The Marines defeated the Lions in all 3 games.

The Buffaloes recovered from May 5, winning 2 of 3 game against the Lions. The Marines Roki Sasaki struck out 12 on May 5 but neither won nor lost the shut out game against the Hawks. The Fighters ended its losing streak at 5 by defeating the Buffaloes on Apr 8 and won the following day too on home runs by Kotaro Kiyomiya and Chusei Mannami. The Marines beat the Golden Eagles in both games. The Lions and the Hawks won a game each.

Other teams had their first game of the season on Mar 31. Last season's champion the Buffaloes was started by 20 year old Shunpeita Yamashita. The Buffaloes beat the Lions. The Hawks won on Ryoya Kurihara's 3 run home run against the Marines.

The first and only game to open the season took place at Hokkaido's new baseball park in Kita-Hiroshima. It's Es Con Field. The opened on Mar 30 was an immediate sell out crowd. The ceremonial pitch was performed by Hideki Kuriyama who managed the WBC champion team. He was manager of Nippon Ham Fighters. There were fireworks and the Blue Impulse flying to celebrate. As to the game, the Fighters were beaten by the Golden Eagles.
