Final day
Shodai threw Shishi with his left. Both finished 10-5. Ohho thrust down Ohshoma for his 10th win. Hakuoho pushed down Ura to clinch a majority win. Wakamotoharu stuck to Aonishiki and drove out the Ukrainian. It's his 6th win. Still it was a great feat that Aonishiki won more than 11 bouts, 4 times in a row in makuuchi division. Takanosho pushed out Wakatakakage for his 12th win. Hoshoryu charged fast and pushed out Onosato. Their records tied and went into a run-off. In the runoff, Hoshoryu attempted a throw, while Onosato put his weight on the Mongolian and won. It`s Onosato`s 5th Emperor`s Cup.

14th day
Ura shifted his position and pushed out Ryuden for his 10th win. Shodai lost to Ohshoma's push out. Both are 9-5. Aonishiki forced down Hiradoumi for his 11th win. Fans were disappointed. They could not watch Onosato's bout as his match for the day was cancelled. He was supposed to fight Kotozakura who pulled out with an injury. Takanosho thrusted out Kirishima for his 11th win. Hoshoryu immediately changed his position after the face off and drove Wakatakake down for his 12th win.

13th day
Ura pushed out Tokitsukaze for his 9th win. Ryuden lost to Ohho who secured a majority win. Takanosho fought hard against Aonishiki. Aonishiki fought back and forced Takanosho down. Both are 10-3. Shodai was driven out by Kirishima to lose his 4th bout. Kotozakura drove out Hoshoryu to win his 9th bout. The yokozuna lost his 2nd bout. Onosato forced Wakatakakage out the ring to become the sole leader.

12th day
Ryuden forced Shodai out the ring to win his 9th bout. Ura forced down Tobizaru to secure a majority win. Takanosho pushed out Kotozakura for his 10th win. Onosato pushed out Kirishima for his 11th win. Aonishiki faced Hoshoryu. The Ukrainian forced the yokozuna on his back. It's Hoshoryu's first loss to tie for the Emperor's Cup with Onosato.

11th day
Takanosho forced down Raiden for his 9th win. Shodai with his body pressure drove Aonishiki out for his 9th win. Wakatakakage lost to Kotoshoho. Due to his 6th loss, his chance for ozeki disappeared. Kotozakura forced a throw on Wakamotoharu to secure a majority win. Hoshoryu threw Kirishima for his 11th win. Takayasu attacked Onosato in the beginning, then Takayasu had to pull back and was thrusted out by the yokozun.

10th day
Ryuden drove out Meisei from behind to secure a majority win. Takanosho attacked Shodai's throat and pushed out the former ozeki to win his 8th bout. Aonishiki forced out Hakuoho for a majority win. Wakatakakage lost to Hiradoumi to take his 5th loss. Kotozakura and Kirishima fought with full force. In the end, Kotozakura got hold of Kirishima's belt to walk him out. Onosato gave thrusts to beat Kotoshoho. Hoshoryu forced down Wakamotoharu with his right for his 10th win.

9th day
Shodai forced Tobizaru out the ring, into the audience to secure a majority win. Ura lost to Daieisho's thrusts to take his 3rd loss. Aonishiki fought his style, and drove Abi out for his 7th win. Wakatakakage lost to Kirishima's throw. Both are 5-4. Kotozakura managed to drive Atamifuji dowj for his 6th win. On the verge of the ring, Hoshoryu drove down Kotoshoho to keep his record perfect. Onosato twirled, then quickly got back in position to drive out Wakamotoharu to secure a majority win.

8th day
Ura lowered his head. Then Shodai shoved him down to win his 7th bout. Aonishiki kept his head low against Tamawashi and drove the oldest rikishi out. It's the Ukrainian's 6th win. Wakatakakage drove out Atamifuji. Wakamotoharu forced Kirishima out. Kirishima lost his 4th bout in a row. Takayasu threw Kotozakura to win his 2nd bout. Onosato immediately pushed out Hiradoumi for his 7th win. Goeido charged quickly. Hoshoryu stopped him and pushed him out to secure a majority win.

7th day
Shodai powerfully pushed down Midorifuji for his 6th win. Ura forced down Ichiyamamoto for his 6th win. Takayasu won his first bout by forcing down Abi. Kirishima lost to Hakuouho. It's his 3rd loss. Aonishiki drove Wakatakakage out for his 5th win. Kotozakura tried to shove and draw back but in the end lost to Ohho's push out. It's the ozeki's 2nd loss. In a competitive bout Hoshoryu managed to move around the ring and drive down Hiradoumi for his 7th win. Onosato gave powerful thrusts to prompt Gonoyama to fly out the ring. It's the yokozuna's 6th win.

6th day
Aonishiki kept his head low and drove out Takayasu for his 4th win. Wakatakakage forced down Gonoyama for his 4th win. The eldest rikishi, Tamawashi pushed out Kirishima for his 3rd win. Kotozakura threw Hiradoumi on the verge of the ring to win his 5th bout. Onosato got a hold of Atamifuji's belt and drove his out fo his 5th win. Hoshoryu gave Ohho a powerful throw to keep his record perfect.

5th day
Ichiyamamoto drove out Kotoshoho. Both are 2-3. Aonishiki got behind Kirishima and forced the former ozeki out. It's Kirishima's first loss. Wakatakakage pushed out Abi. Kotozakura drove out with force Gonoyama for his 4th win. Hoshoryu drove out Atamifuji to keep his record clean. Onosato forced Ohho down.

4th day
Ura pulled back and lost to Takanosho, taking his first loss. Ohnokatsu forced Kotoshoho down on his knees. Last tourney winner succumbed to his 2nd loss. Ohho forced Aonishiki down. Both are 2 to 2. Wakatakakage drove out Takayasu for his 2nd win. Kirishima quickly forced Gonoyama to roll on the ring to keep his record clean. Kotozakura shifted position, prompting Tamawashi out of the ring. The ozeki won his 3rd bout. Onosato was thrust down by Hakuouho and succumbed to his first loss. Hoshoryu pushed out Abi for his 4th win.

3rd day
Ura pushed out Fujinokawa for his 3rd win. Kotoshoho gave thrusts and drove out Gonoyama for his 2nd win. Kirishima forced down Atamifuji. Wakatakakage's foot slipped out in the bout against Tamawashi. Aonishiki gave Kotozakura thrusts and drove out the ozeki. It's Kotozakura's first loss. Hoshoryu with his right got hold of Hakuouho's belt and threw him. Onosato pushed down with enormous power, Abi.

2nd day
Ura excited fans by slightly lifting up Midorifuji then driving him down. Kotoshoho managed to drive down Hiradoumi for his first win. Aonishiki had to redo his bout against Atamifuji. In the 2nd try, Aonishiki tried to twist Atamifuji, but instead forced him out. It's the Ukrainian's first win. Wakatakakage quickly drove out Ohho for his first win. Kirishima withstood Abi's thrust and forced him down to win his 2nd bout. Hakuouho was thrust down by Kotozakura. Tamawashi attempted an attack on Onosato's throat, but was instead driven down. Hoshoryu forced Takayasu out to win his 2nd bout.

First day
Tobizaru twirled a few times before finally forcing his big opponent, Shonannoumi out. Mitakeumi lost his mother just before the tourney. But he fought, and was not able to defeat Roga. Daieisho was back after missing last tourney. He charged forward and drove out Fujinokawa. Ura grabbed Ohshoho's leg and forced him out. Last tourney champion Kotoshoho lost to Wakamotoharu. Kirishima got hold of the back and front of Ohho's belt and drove him out. Hakuohho pushed out Wakakatakage. Kotozakura with thrusts defeated Abi. Hoshoryu grabbed Tamawashi's leg as he fell and was giving a win. Onosato quickly forced down Aonishiki.

First Ukrainian komusubi
Aonishiki, the 21 year old Ukrainian was promoted. He's only joined professional sumo 2 years ago, and is the fastest rising.

Former ozeki Asanoyama returns to juryo division
31 year old former ozeki climbed back to juryo. From ozeki, he fell all the way to sandanme division after violating COVID-19 guideline. He made it back to komusubi, but injured himself and fell all the way to sandanme again.
