Panorama TOKYO : Komagome

Watching the scenery seen from a train window, we often have an impulse to get off the train. By the platform of JR Komagome Station, you can enjoy seeing "azalea blossoms" turned deep pink at the end of April to the middle of May. The unconcerned usual scenery changes so vividly in the season. Komagome is also famous for the birthplace of 'someiyoshino', a typical cherry tree we enjoy seeing cherry blossoms in spring, since the Edo period.

Commuter trains run and circulate on the JR Yamanote Line in Tokyo. The trains arrive and depart at two-or-three-minute intervals during the morning rush hour. Then Komagome Station is so crowded with a lot of commuters and students. But we don't see so much passengers on the platform on holidays.
