On the pedestrian bridge in front of the entrance to Hamarikyu Gardens, you can see several incomplete high-rise buildings in the vast redevelopment area on the site of the old JNR freight terminal station at
Shiodome.
These high-rises will be completed one after another in the autumn of 2002 to the spring of 2003.
The new center of Tokyo next to
Nishi-Shinjuku will come into existence in 2005.
Here you can also see simultaneously high-rises typical of the 20th century in the distance, such as Tokyo Tower and World Trade Center Building at Hamamatsucho, and high-rises under construction of the 21st century.
