Shinjuku Sumitomo Building completed in 1974 is the first high-rise office building in the subcenter of Tokyo,
Nishi-Shinjuku.
The building of 210 m in height and 52 stories is still in a high rank at Shinjuku occupied by 30 high-rises already.
A viewing spot is on the south side of the 51st floor.
However,
Tokyo Metropolitan Government building shuts out most of your view there.
The north-side view is worth seeing rather than the south.
Stepping into the restaurant on the top floor for the first time in several years, the scenery of the north has become another view.
The unique shaped Shinjuku Oak Tower (184 m high, 38 stories) on the left is a newcomer built in January, 2003.
Shinjuku Island Tower (189 m high, 44 stories) on the right were completed in 1995.
The construction of high-rises at Nishi-Shinjuku keeps going toward the west further.
Sunshine 60 building> at Ikebukuro is also visible small on the skyline of immediately the upper right.
