The Tokyo Waterfront Subcenter is on the vast reclaimed land in
Tokyo Bay.
The resort area around
Odaiba is prosperous all the time, but the whole area of the subcenter is still deserted in the middle of the development project.
Although "the World City Expo Tokyo" was due to be held for 1996 in this area, the Tokyo metropolitan governer at the time forced to break up starting construction.
If the exposition had been held, the development project would made remarkable progress by some economic stimulation.
The center promenade between Ariake and Aomi / Odaiba is the main street only for pedestrians at the subcenter.
The Dream Bridge built over the canal in the center of promenade is 360 m long and 40 m wide.
That is one of the largest pedestrian bridges in the world.
The Ferris wheel at Palette Town and high-rises at Odaiba are in your eyes.
