The Japanese are very fond of going out to see cherry blossoms in the spring. They often enjoy themselves giving an outdoor party under the cherry tree, or walking in the blossoms with a pleasant breeze. It is especially a fantastic view of cherry blossoms illuminated in the evening.

A row of cherry trees on the Kanda Riverside at Waseda is full of light pinkish colors. Carps in the waters served the blossoms vivid orange colors. The river itself in city is not so picturesque, but the promenade on the riverside is one of places famous for the blossoms in Tokyo.
