Panorama TOKYO : Ebisu

Yebisu Garden Place is a composite town with many commercial facilities built in the former site of the famous beer factory at Ebisu in 1994. The high-rise building Yebisu GardenPlace Tower is a landmark in the town, that can be seen from a long way off. Naturally a beer hall and a memorial museum are there, as the classical buildings imitated brick making.

We have the melancholy rainy season on the Main Island of Japan in June to July. But in the middle of June 1997 in Tokyo, it was really hot and clear in the interval. The best season for beer-drinking was coming then.

The beer garden in the image was renewed drastically,
and changed to a shopping mall in November 2002.
