KAZUHISA ISHII WITH THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS IN 2003

September 26
From the first inning Ishii was in big trouble. He lost a 3 run homer. And it didn't get better for him. He hurled 4 innings and gave up 7 runs. The Dodgers lost 1 to 10 against the SF Giants. It's his 7th loss.

September 16
Ishii lost a run each in the 3rd and 4th innings. He finished 5 innings. But his team in the end lost 2 to 3 against the Arizona Diamondbacks, so he faced his 6th loss

September 10
Ishii surprisingly hit a triple. He pitched well too. It was a shut out 6 innings. But his team in the end lost 4 to 5 to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

August 30
Ishii was back at last. He pitched 5 innings and did not lose a run. Although he was not credited with a win, the Dodgers in the end defeated the Colorado Rockies 5 to 0.

July 29
Ishii didn't do bad. He hurled 6 innings, giving up only 2 runs. But what can he do if his team doesn't score. He was forced to take his 5th loss in a 0 to 2 game against the Philadelphia Phillies..

July 23
Ishii was in a mess in the 4th inning. He got the bases loaded by walking and hitting players with his pitches. And he hit another player to lose an RBI. In all, he pitched 5 0/3 innings accounted for 6 runs. The Dodgers lost to the Colorado Rockies 3 to 8.

July 18
In the first inning, Ishii succumbed to 2 home runs. During the 6 innings he pitched he lost in all, 5 runs. But Ishii was lucky. The Dodgers took the lead, and the game finished 8 to 5 over the St Louis Cardinals. Ishii was credited for the win, gaining his 9th.

July 9
Ishii was helped by his teammates. In the 4th inning, the Dodgers batted in 5 runs. Ishii lost 4 runs in 5 1/3 innings but was able to earn his 8th win. It's his 100th career win.

July 4
Ishii pitched a shut out 6 innings and struck out 9. But he didn't win the game because his teammates could not support him. The game went into extra innings and in the end, the Arizon Diamondbacks won 3 to 1.

June 23
In the 3rd inning, the ball hit Ishii's arm. But he decided to stay on. He pitched 2/3 inning and gave up 2 runs. The Dodgers were losing at that point. But in the 9th the team caught up, taking the game to extra innings. In the 11th inning, however the Dodgers lost to the San Francisco Giants 2 to 3.

June 18
Ishii pitched well again. He gave up only 1 run in 6 innings. The Dodgers defeated the SF Giants 8 to 2 and earned his 7th win.

June 12
Ishii pitched 7 innings giving up 2 runs. The game finished 3 to 2 over the Detroit Tigers. He was able to win his 6th game.

June 6
Ishii pitched well, only losing a run in 7 innings. He also struck out 9 times, and picked up his 5th win. The Dodgers won 2 to 1 over the Chicago White Sox.

June 1
In the 2nd inning, Ishii lost a home run. In the 5 innings he pitched he gave up 3 runs. In the end the Milwaukee Brewers won 4 to 3, and Ishii was not accounted for the loss.

May 27
Ishii was pitching bad from the start. He gave up 5 runs in just the first inning. Thereafter, he picked himself up, and hurled 5 innings. But the Dodgers los 3 to 7 to the Colorado Rockies. And the Dodgers winning streak ended there at 10.

May 21
Ishii struck out 8 and gave up 2 runs in 6 0/3 innings. The Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies 3 to 2. He earned his 4th win.

May 13
Ishii did well, pitching 6 innings and losing just a run. But in the end the Atlanta Braves defeated the Dodgers 3 to 1, so Ishii was no accounted for.

May 8
Ishii was supported by good plays by his team mates and so gave up only a run in 6 innings. The Dodgers beat the NY Mets 5 to 1 and earned his 3rd win.

May 2
Ishii gave up 2 runs in 5 innings. He left the mound when the game was a draw. And in the end the Dodgers lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates so he was not accounted for the loss of 3 to 5.

April 22
Ishii did pitch under pressure. But he also showed great performance killing a runner. He gave up only one run in 6 innings. But it was only in the 8th inning that the Dodgers took the lead. So Ishii was unable to earn a win even though the Dodgers won 2 to 1 over the Cincinnati Reds.

April 16
Ishii pitched 7 shut out innings. And his team hit in 3 runs in the 6th inning to support him. It's his first win since the accident he faced on the mound last year. The Dodgers defeated the San Diego Padres 3 to 0.

April 8
Ishii gave up 3 runs which included 2 home runs, but managed to pitch for 6 innings. He was replaced by a pinch hitter in the bottom of that inning, and since the team was behind, he was not able to earn a win, even though the Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 5 to 3.

April 3
It's the first time Ishii pitched in a game since the accident last season. He started well, but was in a mess in the 3rd inning. He ended up pitching only 3 2/3 innings giving up 5 runs. The Dodgers lost to the San Diego Padres 1 to 6.
