KAZUHISA ISHII WITH THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS IN 2004

Sept 28
Ishii hurled 7 innings, and gave up ony 1 run. But his team was losting at that point. Then in the 9th inning, the Dodgers were able to defeat the Rockies 5 to 4.

Sept 23
Ishii was given a chance to start suddenly as the Dodgers did not have enough starters. He pitched well during 4 innings. But in the 5th inning he was in a mess. He gave up 4 runs. As he did not finish that inning, the game did not count to his record. In the end, however, the Dodgers beat the San Diego Padres 9 to 6.

Aug 29
Ishii gave up only 4 hits and a run in 6 innings. It's his 13th win in a game the Dodgers won 10 to 2 over the NY Mets.

Aug 24
Ishii started and lasted almost 8 innings giving up only 2 runs. Taking over the mound was another Japanese Masao Kida who's just joined the team from 3A. The Dodgers won against the Montreal Expos 10 to 2. Ishii earned his 12th win.

Aug 14
Ishii was suddently commissioned to start. He pitched well. He lost only 2 runs in 7 inning. But he did not receive any back up from his team. The Dodgers lost 0 to 2 against the Chicago Cubs. Ishii had to take his 6th loss.

July 31
Ishii pitched well, giving up just a run in 6 1/2 innings. He also contributed with the bat, with a home run in the 3rd inning. But since the Dodgers lost to the San Diego Padres 2 to 3, Ishii was unaccounted for.

July 26
Ishii pitched just 4 0/3 innings, giving up 6 runs. But luckily, his team beat the Colorado Rockies 9 to 7 in the end.

July 21
Ishii had a fall in the first inning. He lost 2 runs in that inning. He was homered in the 3rd. In 3 1/3 inning, Ishii gave up 6 runs. The Dodgers lost 5 to 6 against the Colorado Rockies and Ishii took the defeat.

July 16
Ishii lost 2 runs in the 2nd inning. Otherwise his new pitch was effective. Ishii earned his 11th win in a 6 to 2 game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

July 7
Ishii hurled a shut out game, while his teammates exploded in the first inning. The Dodgers beat the Tampa Bay DevilRays 11 to 0. Ishii earned his 10th win tying with the best in the league.

July 2
Ishii had a terrible start. In the first inning, he gave up 5 runs. He lasted only 3 innings, and lost a total 7 runs. His team lost to the Anaheim Angels 3 to 7.

June 27
In the 2nd inning, Ishii was unlucky losing 2 runs triggered by an error. During the 6 0/3 innings he pitched he was held responsible for losing 3 runs. The Dodgers won 10 to 5 against the Anaheim Angels. Ishii earned his 9th win.

June 10
Ishii gave up just a solo home run. He pitched 8 innings and won his 8th game. The Dodgers defeated the Toronto BlueJays 6 to 1.

June 4
In the first inning, Ishii lost 2 RBIs. He recovered after that, but in the 5th inning, gave up another RBI. He stepped down finishing 5 inning with the Dodgers taking the lead. The Dodgers beat the Arizone Diamondbacks 7 to 3.

May 30
After then 2nd inning, Ishii did not allow the Arizona Diamondbacks from taking third base. He pitched 6 shut out innings. The Dodgers won 3 to 0 over the Diamondbacks. Ishii earned his 6th win.

May 25
Ishii was off the mount just one out short of completing 5 innings. He walked too many or 4. But the Dodgers beat the Milwaukee Brewers 5 to 3.

May 20
In just the first inning, Ishii gave up 3 runs. He pitched a total 6 1/3 innings, giving up all together 3 runs. His team lost to the Philadelphia Phillies 0 to 4. It's Ishii's 3rd loss he's taking.

May 14
Ishii pitched 4 innings. And he walked just too many or 7, and gave up 2 runs. He took the loss for a 1 to 2 game against the Cincinnati Reds.

April 30
Ishii pitched well again. He hurled 6 innings and gave up only 2 runs. The Dodgers in the end won 13 to 4 over the Montreal Expos, and Ishii earned his 4th win.

April 25
Ishii had a good start. He in fact continued on pitching well. The first base hit he gave up was to Barry Bonds. He, for the first time in the MLB pitched the 9th inning and finished the game. It's his first shut out victory, in a 9 to 0 game against the San Francisco Giants.

April 20
Ishii this time lost 7 runs in 4 innings and took a loss for the 1 to 7 defeat against the Colorado Rockies.

Apr 14
Ishii contributed with his bat. In the 2nd inning, with bases loaded, he hit off San Diego Padres' David Wells to earn 2 RBIs. Ishii hurled 6 2/3 innings giving up 4 wins. His team won 11 to 4 and Ishii clinched his 2nd win.

Apr 8
For the first time Ishii pitched this season by starting the game against the Colorado Rockies. In the 6th inning, he gave up a home run to Charles Johnson. But that was all. Ishii earned a win in the game which ended 5 to 1.
