Climax Series
2nd stage: Seibu Lions vs Fukuoka Softbank Hawks
The Hawks starter Toshiya Sugiuchi pitched beyond the 9th inning. The Lions Jose Fernandez, hit in a game leading RBI. Then the Hawks Yuya Hasegawa equalized the game with an RBI. In the 12th inning he hit in another run to clinch the game 2 to 1, and take the Hawks to the Japan series for the first time in 8 years.

On Nov 4, the Hawks equalized with a homer by Nobuhiro Matsuda and secured the game with Nobuhiro Matsunaka's grand slam. It's a 7 to 2 win.

The Hawks starter Tsuyoshi Wada pitched well in the first game on Nov 3. Meanwhile, Seiichi Uchikawa hit in the team's first RBI. Hitoshi Tamura batted in 2 runs. The Hawks in the end won 4 to 2.

1st stage: Seibu Lions vs Nippon Ham Fighters
On Oct 30, the Fighters Micah Hoffpauir homered. But the Lions breezed ahead on bad fielding by Kensuke Tanaka. In the 8th inning, the Kazuhisa Ishii kept Fighters from hitting home with runners on 3rd and 2nd. The very competitive game became one sided in the 9th inning including a 3 run homer by Takeya Nakamura. The Lions won 8 to 1 and with this win advanced to the 2nd stage. This became the last game the Fighters played under Masataka Nashida.

Games were held at Sapporo Dome on Oct 29. Starting for the Fighters, Yu Darvish, and for the Lions Hideaki Wakui. The Fighters scored first on Eiichi Koyano's hit. The Lions equalized in the 9th inning. Then in the 11th, Jose Fernandez hit in 2 runs and with that the Lions clinched the game 5 to 2.

October
The final game of the regular season was played on Oct 22 between the Marines and Hawks. Seiichi Uchikawa singled and secured the title of leading hitter. However, his team lost to the Marines.

On Oct 17, the Marines and the Lions finished a draw.

On Oct 16, the Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka shut out the Fighters and won his 19th game. The Lions tied against the Hawks.

The Fighters faced the Buffaloes from Oct 14, won the first and lost the 2nd. On Oct 15 the Marines Yuki Krakawa pitched well to win the game against the Hawks.

On Oct 13 the Hawks clinched its 9th win in a row by defeating the Fighters. The Buffaloes defeated the Marines.

On Oct 10, the Hawks defeated the Buffaloes with Yuya Hasegawa's game winning RBI. The Lions clobbered the Fighter with a 2 run homer by Jose Fernandez and a 3 run by Takeya Nakamura. However, the Lions faced defeat before Yu Darvish's 15 strike out pitching the next day. On Oct 12, Nakamura homered a 2 run to help the Lions win. The Golden Eagles Takeshi Yamasaki played his final game with the team on Oct 10, and singled. His team defeated the Marines.

The Golden Eagles faced the Marines from Oct 7. It lost the first with Hisashi Iwakuma as the starter. It won the next on Masahiro Tanaka's shut out 18th win. It won again on Oct 9, but the sad news for Golden Eagles fan was, veteran Takeshi Yamasaki announced he was leaving the team. The Hawks continue to do well defeating the Buffaloes in 2 games. The Fighters won 1 and lost 1 against the Lions.

The Hawks after securing its league win continues to do well. From Oct 4, it faced the Marines and won all 3 games. The Fighters beat the Golden Eagles in its first game, lost the 2nd even though Yu Darvish was the started, and on Oct 6, golden rookie Yuki Saito pitched well to help the Fighters win. The Buffaloes won the first game against the Lions with a 3 run homer by Lee Seung Yeop. The Lions won the next 2 games.

On Oct 1, the Hawks played against the Lions and won. With this victory it clinched the 2011 season league pennant. It won again the next day. The Fighters tied against the Marines on Oct 1, and the Marines won the next day. The Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka won his 17th game against the Buffaloes. The Golden Eagles won again the next day.

September
On Sept 30, the Hawks won again with home runs and RABi hit by Shuhei Fukuda. The Marines beat the Fighters in the final inning. The Buffaloes won a competitive game which Chihiro Kaneko hurled over the distance against the Golden Eagles.

The Hawks beat the Fighters in the first 2 games from Sept 27, but lost the 3rd to Yu Darvish who clinched his 17th win. The Buffaloes extended its winning streak to 5 on Sept 28, but lost to the Marines on Sept 29. The Marines meanwhile halted its consecutive loss at 11. The Lions winning streak was ended on Sept 28, facing a defeat against the Golden Eagles. It won the next day with Takeya Nakamura's home run.

On Sept 23 the Hawks defeated the Golden Eagles. But the next day the Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka shut the Hawks out for his 16th win. On Sept 25, the Hawks won. The Buffaloes on Sept 23 beat the Fighters on T Okada's homerun and base hit and won the next 2 games too. The Lions won 3 games and tied another against the Marines in 4 games they played.

The Buffaloes defeated the Hawks on Sept 20 on Aarom Baldiris's base hit, but the Hawks won the following day . The Lions won its 5th game in a row by defeating the Fighters on Sept 20.

From Sept 16, the Hawks played against the Fighters, won the first, tied the next and won again on Sept 18 to Seiichi Uchikawa's 3 RBIs. The Buffaloes defeated the Marines in all 3 games, including Aarom Baldiris's contribution with a run batted in and a home run for his team's win against the Marines. The Lions defeated the Golden Eagles in all 3 games.

The Hawks played against the Lions from Sept 13.The Hawks won the first with Seiichi Uchikawa and Hiroaki Kokubo's homers. The next day they Lions won with Takeya Nakamura's single and home run. The teams tied on Sept 15. The Fighters Akinori Inaba homered twice against the Marines on Sept 13 and went on to win the next 2 games. The Buffaloes and Golden Eagles played a win and lose match. In the end, the Buffaloes retained 3rd rank while Golden Eagles was 4th.

The Hawks lost a close match against the Marines on Sept 9, however exploded the next day with 18 run. Then lost on Sept 11. The Buffaloes at last lost on Sept 9, it's against the Lions, won the next and lost the 3rd. The Fighters consecutive loss ended at 6 on Sept 9. The next game sold out 3 days in advance. It's because the starting pitchers for the Fighters was Yuki Saito and for the Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka, the first direct rivalry match since Saito became pro. They faced eachother in the High School Baseball Championship, and Saito won. As to the result this time Tanaka only gave up a run to win.

In the only game on Sept 5, the Hawks defeated the Fighters. It also won the next 2 games. From Sept 6 the Buffaloes won the first 2 games against the Golden Eagles and tied in the 3rd. The Lions won 2 of 3 games against the Marines.The new star for the Lions is Shogo Akiyama who slammed his very first home run, a 2 run on Sept 8.

From Sept 2 the Lions played against the Hawks. The Lions won the first game on a 2 run homer by Takeya Nakamura. Nakamura homered the next day too, but the team lost. On Sept 4, Nakamura homered and helped the Lions win. The Buffaloes defeated the Fighters in all 3 games. The Golden Eagles did too, clinching all against the Marines.

On Sept 1, the Hawks lost to the Buffaloes in the game its ace pitcher Tsuyoshi Wada started. The Fighters defeated the Marines. The Lions Takeya Nakamura contributed with a 2 run home run to defeat the Golden Eagles.

August
The Hawks lost to the Buffaloes in 2 games from Aug 30. The Buffaloes T Okada homered twice in the first game. The Fighters defeated the Marines in 2 games. On Aug 31, Yu Darvish earned his 16th win. The Golden Eagles won 2 games too from the Lions.

The Fighters faced the Lions from Aug 26. Takeya Nakamura of the Lions homered twice and in the 10th inning the Lions won. The next day, Yuki Saito started for the Fighters and won his 5th game. On Aug 28, the Lions veteran pitcher Fumiya Nishiguchi earned a shut out victory. The Golden Eagles won its 7th straight game on Aug 27 with Masahiro Tanaka shutting out the Hawks. But the winning streak ended the following day. The Buffaloes won 2 of 3 games against the Marines.

The Hawks played against the Marines from Aug 23 and won all 3 games. The Golden Eagles defeated the Fighters in all 3 games, even when Yu Darvish pitched on Aug 25. The Lions and the Buffaloes won a game each.

On Aug 19, Yu Darvish did not win the game against the Buffaloes but his team, the Fighters did in the 10th inning. The Fighters won the next day with a win going to golden rookie Yuki Saito and agains on Aug 21. The Hawks defeated the Golden Eagles in the first game from Aug 19, but lost the next two. The Lions and the Marines won a game each from Aug 20.

The Hawks clinched all 3 games against the Buffaloes from Aug 16. The Marines won 1, the Fighters won 1 and tied in the 3rd game. The Golden Eagles won 1, tied in the 2nd and the Lions won the last.

The Fighter Yu Darvish was amazing, shutting out the Hawks on Aug 12 and earning his 15th win. The next day, the Hawks ace pitcher Toshiya Sugiuchi shut out the Fighters. The Fighters won the following game in which Yuki Saito started but was taken out after the 5th inning. The Buffaloes marked its 7th win in a row on Aug 12 against the Lions on Aaron Baldiris 2 run home run. The next day the Lions won on Jose Fernandez RBI. Then on Aug 12, Lee Seung Yeop finished the game with his home run. The Golden Eagle won 2 games in a row against the Marines from Aug 12. But lost on Aug 14.

The Marines from Aug 9 defeated the Hawks in the first 2 games and lost the last. The Fighters won on Bobby Scaled 2 run home run against the Lions on Aug 9. The next day the Lions Takeya Nakamura blasted a grand slam to win this and the next game. The Golden Eagles marked its 7th loss in a row against the Buffaloes on Aug 11.

The Hawks and Lions tied in the first 2 games from Aug 5,while the Hawks won the 3rd. The Fighters defeated the Golden Eagles in 4 games it played. The Buffaloes defeated the Marines on Aug 5, tied the next day land lost the 3rd.

In the 3 games the Hawks played against the Buffaloes from Aug 2, it won 2. The Fighters on Aug 3 marked its 5th loss in a row in the game against the Marines. They tied the next game. The Golden Eagles rookie Takahiro Shiomi hurled over the distance and gave up only a run to the Lions to win. His team lost the next game. But on Aug 4 won on Kaz Matsui's 3 RBI hits including a 2 run home run.

July
The Hawks played against the Fighers from Jul 29 and it won all 3 games. The Lions lost the first game to the Buffaloes. But it clinched the next 2 games. The last was won due to birthday boy Hiroyuki Nakamura's RBI hit. The Golden Eagles won 2 of 3 games against the Marines of which pitchers Satoshi Nagai won a shut out victory and Masahiro Tanaka clinched his 10th win.

After the all star break, the Lions immediately played against the Marines from Jul 25. Under its new captain Hiroyuki Nakajima, it ended its losing streak at 7. In fact it won 3 staight games, however lost on June 28 to Jose Castillo's home run. The Hawks faced the Golden Eagles from Jul 26Awinning the first game, then losing the 2nd to starter Hisashi Iwakuma who was back for the first time in 2 months. On Jul 28, the Hawks won a shut out game. The Fighters on Jul 26 lost to the Buffaloes Aarom Baldiris 2 run home run, won the next day on Bobby Scales grand slam.

The Hawks won back first place on Jul 19 by defeating the Lions with home run by Nobuhiro Matsuda. It won on Jul 20 with Nobuhiko Matsunaka's 2 run and Matsuda's homer. The Fighters defeated the Golden Eagles in 2 games with Yu Darvish pitching over the distance fo his 13th win. The Marines beat the Buffaloes with Tomoya Satozaki's 2 run homer on Jul 19 and won the next day too.

The Fighters beat the Lions in all 3 games from Jul 15. The Hawks won the first against the Marines, tied the next and lost on Jul 17. With that the Fighters replaced the Hawks for first place. The Golden Eagles won all 3 games against the Buffaloes.

From Jul 12, the Hawks faced the Golden Eagles. It won the first game with a homer by Nobuhiko Matsunaka and a 3 run homer by Hidenori Tanoue. The next day the Golden Eagles won and tied onn Jul 14. The Fighters tied with the Buffaloes on Jul 12. The Fighters won the next with Yu Darvish as the starter. The Marines won with Tadahito Iguchi's sacrifice fly against the Lions on Jul 12 and won the next 2 as well.

On Jul 8 the Marines Yoshihisa Naruse struck out 11 and shut out the Hawks. The Hawks won the next game in which Toshiya Sugiuchi earned his career 100th win and also won on Jul 10. The Buffaloes clinched a competitive game against the Lions on Jul 8. Next day, the Lions losing streak stopped out 6 with a 2 run homer by Takeya Nakamura. Nakamura homered on Jul 10 too to help his team win.

The Hawks defeated the Lions on Jul 5 on Nobuhiro Matsuda's 3 run home run.And the Hawks won again the next day. The Marines new player Jose Castillo contributed on Jul 5 with an equalizing 2 run homer, and on Kazuya Fukuura's RBI won the game against the Fighters. The Marines won the next game too, but lost the one on Jul 7. On Jul 5 the Buffaloes defeated the Golden Eagles on Shogo Akada's RBI.The Golden Eagles won the next 2 games.

The Buffaloes Mike Hessman contributed. On Jul 1 he homered twice against the Hawks. He also hit in a RBI on Jul 3 to help the team win it's 3rd consecutive game against the Hawks. The Fighters Sho Nakata hit in runs in all 3 games against the Lions to win all 3 games. The Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka shut out the Marines on Jul 1. The Golden Eagles lost the next game to the Marines Toshiaki Imae's 2 run home run. It won on Jul 3.

June
From June 28 the Hawks played against the Golden Eagles. The Hawks Hiroki Kokubo blasted with 2 home runs to defeat the Golden Eagles in the first game. In the 2nd game the Golden Eagles won on Akinori Iwamura's RBI. The next day the Alex Cabrara helpd the Hawks win on his RBI. The Marines Yuki Karakawa shut out the Fighters on June 28. The Marines won again the next day. But on June 30, the Yu Darvish started for the Fighters and won. On June 30, the Lions lost despite Takeya Nakamura's 2 homers against the Buffaloes. Nakamura homered in the next 2 games too and won both against the Buffaloes.

Games were back separated into two leagues from June 24. The Hawks lost the first 2 games to the Fighters. The first one was against Yu Darvish. However it won the 3rd game. The Lions on June 24 clinched the game against the Golden Eagles on Hideto Asamura's 3 run home run. The next game, it succumbed to 12 strike outs before Masahiro Tanaka. It won on June 26. The Buffaloes won the first 2 games against the Marines but lost the last.

May
The Golden Eagles managed to equalize in the game against the Marines on May 13. The next day it was shut out by the Marines Yuki Karakawa. On May 15, the Golden Eagles managed to win. The Hawks won the first 2 games against the Lions, but not the last. The Fighters beat the Buffaloes in 2 games from May 14.

On May 10, a great game between the Golden Eagles started by Hisashi Iwakuma and the Fighters by Yu Darvish. Iwakuma gave up a 2 run homer to Sho Nakata and lost the game. The Golden Eagles losing streak was stopped by pitcher Satoshi Nagai. The Hawks won its 3rd game in a row with a 2 run home run by Hitoshi Tamura from the Buffaloes on May 11, however the Buffaloes won the next day. Other games were rained out.

On May 6 the Hawks Nobuhiro Matsuda slammed a 2 run home run to help his team defeat the Fighters. The next day the Fighters won on Tomohiro Nioka's RBI hit. Then on May 8 a shock for fans. Super rookie Yuki Saito who started the game was gone in the 2nd inning. He is reported to have hurt his side, and he was been removed from the major team's list. The Lions Kazuhisa Makita shut out the Golden Eagles started by Masahiro Tanaka on May 6. The Lions won the next 2 games too. The Buffloes played the Marines from May 7 in it old Braves uniform.It won one and lost one.

From May 3 the Fighters faced the Buffaloes. Yu Darvish started the first game in which in the 10th inning Sho Nakata contributed with 3 RBIs. The next game the Fighters were shut out by Hayato Terahara. Then on May 5, Micah Hoffpauir's 2 homers helped the Fighers win. The Lions played at the Seibu Dome for the first time this season from May 3. It lost the first 2 games to the Marines of which the first Tadahito Iguchi homered a grand slam and a 3 run. On May 5, the Lions won at last. The Golden Eagles were shut out by the Hawks Tsuyoshi Wada on May 3. It lost again the next day. Then on May 5, Norihiro Nakamura and Takeshi Yamasaki's bats helped the Golden Eagles win.

On May 1, the Golden Eagles lost its 3rd game against the Buffaloes even though Kaz Matsui homered. The Fighters starter was Yuki Saito. He gave up 3 runs in 6 inning against the Lions and the game ended a draw. The Hawks blasted against the Marines with a 3 run homer by Nobuhiro Matsuda and a 2 run by Alex Cabrera.

On Apr 29, the Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka hurled over the distance against the Buffaloes and won a tough game his teammates fumbled out in the field. In the next game Darrel Rasner pitched well while Takeshi Yamasaki helped the team equalize with a home run and won on Motohiro Shima's RBI. The Fighters on Apr 29 beat the Lions in the first 2 games. The Marines beat the Hawks in the first 2 games.

The Golden Eagles Hisashi Iwakuma hurled over 150 pitches and shut out the Lions on Apr 26. THe Marines Yoshihisa Naruse stuck out 12 and shut out the Buffaloes the same day. The next day Yuki Karakawa pitched well against the Buffaloes but the Marines lost on Apr 28. The Fighters Yu Darvish marked his career 1000th strike out and won the game against the Hawks on Apr 26. The next day the Hawks won.

The Golden Eagles may have lost its steam. Its lost its 3rd game in a row on Apr 22 against the Fighters. The next day, it beat the Fighters on Randy Ruiz's game winning RBI. It lost however on Apr 24 in the game the Fighters super rookie Yuki Saito started despite homers by Takeshi Yamasaki and Ruiz. The Buffaloes won 2 of 3 games against the Lions from Apr 22. The Hawks Hiroki Kokubo returned to the games recovering from injuries on Apr 23 and contributed with a game winning hit against the Marines. The Hawks won the next day too.

The Golden Eagles Hisashi Iwakuma struck out 10 and hurled over the distance on Apr 19 and with Kaz Matsui's RBI in the 10th inning defeated the Hawks. The next game the Hawks won with a 2 run home run by Seiichi Uchikawa. And again on Apr 21 on Uchikawa's 3 base RBI and consecutive home runs by Jose Ortiz and Nobuhiro Matsuda. The Fighters Yu Darvish on Apr 19 gave up only a run in 8 inning and won his first game against the Buffaloes. The Fighters won the next 2 games too. The Marines Yoshihisa Naruse shut out the Lions on Apr 19 and won. The Marines won the next 2 games too.

Starting for the Golden Eagles on Apr 15, its star pitcher Masahiro Tanaka. Kaz Matsui homered. On Akinori Iwamura's sacrifice fly 42 year old Takeshi Yamasaki came home. Tanaka hurled over the distance in a 3 to 2 game against the Buffaloes. In the next game Satoshi Nagai pitched well and Kaz Matsui hit in 2 runs for the Golden Eagles victory. But on Apr 17, the Golden Eagles lost. On Apr 15, the Hawks beat the Lions on Alex Cabrera's home run in the 11th inning. However, in the next game the Lions Takeya Nakamura homered a 3 run twice to give the Lions a win. The Hawks, on Apr 17 won on Nobuhiro Matsuda's 2 run home run. The Fighters beat the Marines in all 3 game on Apr 15. The game on the 17th was particularly highlighted. That's because the Fighters starting pitcher was golden rookie Yuki Saito. Saito gave up a 2 run homer to Tadahito Iguchi in the first inning. He was rescued by Micah Hoffpauir's grand slam.Giving up a total 4 runs in 5 innings, Saito was given a win.

Rakuten Golden Eagles opened their season in Chiba on Apr 12. As a team based near the hardest hit area in the March 11 massive earthquake, they played with a special commitment to their hometown to win. Starter for the Eagles, birthday boy Hisashi Iwakuma who turned 30. Catcher Motohiro Shima made up for an earlier error with a 3 run home run in the 7th inning. The Eagles won 6 to 4 against the Marines. Darrell Rasner started for the Eagles in the 2nd game. With a 3 run home run by 42 year old Takeshi Yamasaki the Eagles won the 2nd game. But on Apr 14, after the Marines equalized on Kazuya Fukuura's 2 run homer and breezed ahead on Tadahito Iguchi's sacrifice fly. The Marines beat the Eagles. The Lions clobbered the Fighters ace pitcher Yu Darvish in the opener. Hiroyuki Nakashima did most of it with an RBI base hit and a 3 run home run to beta the Fighters 12 to 3. Young 22 year old Shougo Akiyama had 3 base hits to help the Lions win again, 8 to 3. The Hawks starter Tsuyoshi Wada was pitching well for the opener but gave up runs providing the Buffaloes an opportunity to equalize and the game finished 2 to 2. The next day the Buffaloes new pitcher Hayato Terahara who was with the BayStars last year hurled over the distance. And supporting his with the bat, a 3 run homer by Korean slugger Lee Seug Yeop who was acquired from the Giants. On Apr 14, the Hawks beat the Buffaloes although T-Okada had this season's first home run.
