Climax Series
2nd stage: Rakuten Golden Eagles vs Chiba Lotte Marines
The 4th game was rained out and was held instead on Oct 21. It was a tense see saw game. In the 4th inning, the Marines took the lead with GG Sato's 3 run home run. Then Andruw Jones slammed a 2 run to retake the lead. The Marines equalized. Then the Golden Eagles breezed ahead on Casey McGhee's home run. Masahiro Tanaka closed the game. The Golden Eagles won 8 to 5, and advanced to the Japan Series.

In the 2nd inning on Oct 19, Motohiro Shima hit in 2 runs. Starting pitcher Manabu Mima hurled over the distance and shut out the Marines. The Golden Eagles won 2 to 0 game.

On Oct 18, the Golden Eagles caught up with the Marines in the 9th inning on Andruw Jones RBI. In the 10th inning, the Marines Craig Brazell homered and clinched the game. The Marines won 4 to 2.

Masahiro Tanaka started for the Golden Eagles on Oct 17. His teammate Kaz Matsui fielded badly. But it was made up by his good pitching and in the 4th inning, Ginji Akaminai homered. Casy McGehee hit in a run. Ma-kun shut out the Marines and won the game.

1st stage: Saitama Seibu Lions vs Chiba Lotte Marines
A 3rd game was played on Oct 14. Lions started Kazuhisa Makita lost 2 homers. One of them, a 2 run by Tadahito Iguchi. The Marines won 4 to 1, to advance to the 2nd stage.

In the 2nd game, the Lions Hideto Asamura hit in a run. Yasuyuki Kataoka hit a 2 run home run. Meanwhile starting pitcher Yosuke Okamoto shut out. Marines and the Lions won 15 to 0.

In the first game on Oct 12 in the first inning, Marines Tadahito Iguchi blasted a home run. That got him going. He also hit a sacrifice fly, batted in a run. In total, the team won 11-1,

October
Aug 8 is the last time Masahiro Tanaka of the Golden Eagles starts in the regular season. He was unlucky as his teammate erred in the first inning. But later his teammates hit runs after another an Ma-kun finished the season with 24 wins and no losses.

The Golden Eagles finally won on 1 Oct, after a series of losses. Masahiro Tanaka earned his 23rd win. On Oct 3, the Marines beat the Golden Eagles, meanwhile the Hawks lost to the Lions. On Oct 4 the Marines had no game but its secured its place in the Climax Series.

September
Fierce competition continues between the Lions and the Hawks to proceed to the Climax Series. The teams faced eachother on Sept 28 and the Hawks won. The Hawks defeated the Golden Eagles the next day. The Lions too defeated the Marines. The Marines then won on Sept 30 against the Fighters on Fukuura's sacrifice fly.

The Golden Eagles had difficulty winning against the Lions from Sept 24, losing in the 9th inning in the first 2 games. On Sept 26, runner up in the league, the Marines lost to the Fighters. It only needed to win the game of the day to clinch the pennant victory. Andruw Jones hit in 3 runs to take the lead. Masahiro Tanaka closed the game to secure the league title. It's the first league victory for the Golden Eagles.

On Sept 21, the Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka won his 22nd game of the season by defeating the Fighters. The next day the team won on 4 RBIs by Andruw Jones and shut out the Fighters on Sept 23. The Marines won the first 2 games from the Hawks. The Hawks losing streak ended at 3 on Sept 23. The Buffaloes won the first game and lost the next 2 to the Lions.

The Golden Eagles rookie Takahiro Norimoto won his 14th game on Sept 17 playing aginst the Hawks. The Golden Eagles lost the next, and won dramatically in the 9th inning on Sept 19. The Lions Takeya Nakamura homered on Sept 17 to defeat the Fighters. The Lions lost the next day and won the 3rd game. The Marines lost 2 games against the Buffaloes and fell to 3rd place.

The Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka did it again on Sept 13. He extended his winning streak to 25 since last season. It's in the game against the Buffaloes. However his team lost the next game. The Hawks played against the Fighters from Sept 13 and won all 3. The Lions faced the Marines from Sept 14, lost the first, clinched the next in the 11th inning.

The Marines beat the Golden Eagles on Sept 10 and the Golden Eagles won the next day on home runs by Andruw Jones and Casy McGehee. The Fighter won 2 games against the Buffaloes from Sept 10. The Hawks and the Lions tied in the first, and the Hawks won the next on Seiichi Uchikawa's 2 RBIs.

The Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka was able to win again on Sept 6, supported by Kaz Matsui's home run. Its his 20th game in a row this season and defeated the Fighters. The Golden Eagles won the next 2 games. The Lions shut out the Marines on Sept 6, while it was the opposite result the next day with a shut out victory. The Hawks clinched the first 2 games from the Bufflaloes but won the last.

The Golden Eagles won on Sept 3 on Casy McGehee's 3 run home run against the Lions. The Fighters Daikan Yoh contributed with RBI hit to defeat the Hawks on Sept 3. The next day the Hawks won. The Fighters won on Sept 5 on Keiji Obiki's grandslam. The Buffaloes beat the Marines on Sept 4 and 5.

The Golden Eagles lost to the Hawks again on Sept 1. The Marines clinched its 3 win in a row from the Fighters on Shunichi Nemoto's game winning hit. The Buffales beat the Lions.

August
Masahiro Tanaka started on Aug 30 and although he did not pitch as well as in past games, he earned his 19th win, or a 23 consecutive win since last season. Its by beating the Hawks. The Golden Eagles lost the next game. The Marines beat the Fighters in 2 games from Aug 30 which included a homer by GG Sato. The Buffaloes won the game in the 10th inning against the Lions on Aug 30, but the Lions took the next one.

The Golden Eagles lost the first game against the Buffaloes from Aug 27 but won the next two. The Lions defeated the Fighters in the first two and succumbed to the Fighter starte Brian Wolfe's good pitching. The Maines beat the Hawks in the first 2 games but was defeated in the 3rd.

The Golden Eagles consecutive loss was ended at 5 with Masahiro Tanaka pitching well again, to clinch his 18th win or his 21 consecutive wins in the game against the Marines on Aug 23.His team was back to winning mode clinching the next 2 games. The Fighters won the first and 3rd game against the Buffaloes and tied inthe 2nd. The Hawks beat the Lions in 2 games from Aug 24.

The Golden Eagles won in a slump losing all 3 games against the Fighters from Aug 20. The Marines beat the Lions in the first and 3rd game. In the 3rd game a record tie 2 grand slams were achieved in an inning. The Hawks won the first, the Buffaloes won the next 2.

The Golden Eagles won its first game against the Lions from Aug 16 in which Masahiro Tanaka clinched his 17th win or his 21 games consecutive win continuing from last season. But the team lost the next 2 in the final inning. The Marines won the first and 3rd game against the Buffaloes. The Fighters won its 3rd game in a row on Aug 17, by defeating the Hawks with Sho Nakata's 2 run home run. The next day, however it lost even though Shohei Otani did the extraordinary of playing outfield, then pitching.

The Golden Eagles lost the first 2 games against the Marines from Aug 13. It won on Aug 15 with a home run by Andruw Jones. The Hawks Nobuhiro Matsuda blasted a winning 2 run home run against the Lions on Aug 13 and won the next 2 games too. The Fighters Sho Nakata helped his team take the lead over the Buffaloes on Aug 13 and won on the day and also the next day.

On Aug 9, the Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka won his 16th game in row, breaking the Japan record and defeating the Hawks in a shut out relay. The Golden Eagles lost the next game to Nobuhiko Masuda's 2 homers. The Golden Eagles won the 3rd game. The Lions beat the Buffaloes on Aug 9, lost the next, but on Aug 11, Takayuki Kishi won with a shut out over the distance pitch. The Marine won the first game against the Fighter lost the next and won again on Aug 11.

On Aug 6 the Hawks Kenta Imamiya homered and Seiichi Uchikawa homered to defeat the Marines. The Marines won the next 2 games. The Fighters won on Aug 6 against the Lions on Sho Nakata's 2 run home run.The Fighters won the next 2 games too. The Golden Eagles game was rained out on Aug 6.It was defeated by the Buffaloes the next day and won the game on Aug 8.

The Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka won his 15th win in a row to tie with the Japan record on Aug 2. The Golden Eagles the next 2 games too. What was incredible was a Japan record of 7 consecutive 2 base hits on Aug 4. The Hawks Seiichi Uchikawa's RBI finished the 12 inning game against the Lions on Aug 2. The Hawks won the next day on Nobuhiko Matsuda's home run. On Aug 4, the Lions won. The Buffaloes won the first game and the Marines won the next 2.

The Hawks Nobuhiko Matsuda homered on Aug 1 to help his team defeat the Buffaloes. The Fighters Michel Abreu and Sho Nakata homered to beat the Marines.

July
The Golden Eagles on Jul 30 beat the Lions and the game ended a tie due to the rain the next day. The Fighters clinched the game on Jul 30 against the Marines. It was the other way around the next day with contributions for the Marines by Tadahito Iguchi. The Buffaloes on the first game to the Hawks but lost the next.

The Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka hurled over the distance against the Marines with a run behind on Jul 26. In the bottom of that inning was walked to score and equalized, then won on Motohiro Shima's base hit. It's Tanaka's 14th win. The Golden Eagles won the next 2 games. The Lions won the first game against the Buffaloes, but the 2nd game it lost on Aaron Baldiris's 2 run homer. The Lions won the 3rd game and rose to 2nd place. The Hawks on Jul 26 won on Seiichi Uchikawa's home run.The Hawks Tadashi Settsu shut out the Marines. The on Jul 28the Hawks won again.

The Golden Eagles had an extraordinary 9th inning on Jul 24, clinching the game from the Dragons. It lost the next day. The Marines beat the Lions in the first game but lost the next. The Buffaloes defeated the Fighters in 2 games.

The Golden Eagles played against the Lions from Jul 12. It lost the first in the 12th inning. It won the next with contribution by Andruw Jones home run and chosing to walk. In the 3rd game the Lions won again. The Buffaloes defeated the Hawks in the first 2 games, and in the 3rd, Kenta Imamiya finished the game for the Hawks. The Marines Tadahito Iguchi homered twice on Jul 12 for his team's win against the Fighters. The Marines won the next. On Jul 14, the Fighters Eiichi Koyano grand slammed and Shohei Otani who was out from an injury singled.

The Golden Eagles Andruw Jones had a grand slam on Jul 7 to defeat the Hawks. The next day the Golden Eagles lost. The Golden Eagles on Jul 9 was started by Masahiro Tanaka and beat the Fighters. The Lions Eito Asamura contributed with RBIs against the Marines on Jul 7. The Marines extended its consecutive loss to 5 on Jul 10. On Jul 11 the BayStars beat the Fighters.

The Hawks Tadashi Settsu hurled over the distance on Jul 5 and his team beat the Golden Eagles. The Golden Eagles won the next game and the 3rd on Andruw Jones grand slam. The Marines lost to the Lions in all 3 games. The Buffaloes won the first 2 games and lost the 3rd against the Fighters in which Shohei Otani hit in 3 runs.

In the only game on Jul 1, the Fighters won on a bases loaded walk against the Hawks. Then on Jul 3 it won on Sho Nakata's RBI. On Jul 2 the Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka shut out the Marines while Casy McGeghee homered. On Jul 4 the Golden Eagles tied for first place with the Marines with 2 homers by Andruw Jones. The Buffaloes defeated the Lions on Jul 2 and lost the next 2.

From June 28 the Marines played against the Hawks, lost the first, but won the next with Saburo's game winning RBI and the day after too. The Buffaloes Shinji Takahashi's homerun finished the game against the Golden Eagles on June 28. The Golden Eagles won the next 2 games. The Fighters marked its 5th win in a row on June 29 in the game against the Lions byt lost the next day.

On June 25, the Marines lost to the Buffaloes Makoto Kaneko who hurled over the distance, and Lee Dae-Ho's homerun. The Marines won the next 2 games. The Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka won against the Lions and earned his 10th game already. The Lions won the next game and the Golden Eagles the 3rd. The Fighters defeated the Hawks with Inaba's RBI, on June 25, won again the next game due to the opponents error.

Teams were back playing in their respective leagues from June 21. The Hawks battered the Golden Eagles in the first 2 games while the Hawks won the 3rd on Casy McGeghee's 2 run home run. The Lions Yusei Kikuchi clinched his 8th win in the game against the Buffaloes on June 21, The next game went to the Buffaloes and the teams tied in the 3rd. The Fighters and the Marines faced eachother from June 22 and in the Fighters won 2 of 3 games. In the last game Sho Nakata and Michel Abreu homered.

May
The Marines winning streak ended on May 10 at 6 while its opponent the Golden Eagles stretched to 6. The next game was rained out. On May 12 the Marines won on Toshiake Imae's game winning hit. On May 11, the Hawks losing streak halted at 6 by defeating the Lions and won the next game too. The Buffaloes Yoshio Itoi slammed a 3 run home run on May 11 against the Fighters. His team's winning streak was extended to 4 the next day.

The Marines marked its 8th win in a row on May 9 by defeating the Lions in 2 games The Golden Eagles Casy McGeghee slammed a 3 run homer against the Fighters on May 8 and Masahiro Tanaka won his 5th game. McGeghee contributed in the next game too giving the Golden Eagles its 5th consecutive win. The Buffaloes won 2 straight games against the Hawks.

From May 4, the Lions defeated the Fighters in all 3 games. The Marines played against the Hawks and marked its 5th win in a row on May 6. The Golden Eagles performed well against the Buffaloes from May 4 with Kazu Matsui's RBIs and homerun in the first game and a grand slam in the 3rd.

On May 1, the Lions lost to the Hawks with a game winning RBS by Wily Mo Pena. The Hawks continued to win, earning its 5th win in a row on May 3. The Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka marked his 4th win with support by Motohiro Shima on May 1 defeating the Fighters. The Fighters won the next 2 games with an amazing 3 home runs by Sho Nakata on May 3. The Marines defeated the Buffaloes on and RBI hit by Daichi Suzuki on May 1 and clinched the next 2 games too.

The Golden Eagles blasted on Apr 27 with 3 run home runs by Motohiro Shima and Kaz Matsui. The Lions won an overwhelming victory the next game and the following. The Marines defeated the Hawks on Apr 27, but lost the next 2 games. The Fighters Michel Abreu continued to perform wonders. On Apr 27, he slammed a 2 run. The next day a 3 run to help his team defeat the Buffaloes in both games. In the 3rd game the Buffaloes slugger Lee Dae-Ho homered twice for his team's win.

The Lions Kazuhisa Makita won a shut out game agains the Marines on Apr 23. The Lions won the next game and lost the 3rd in which the Marines Josh Whitesell homered. The Hawks Brian LaHair slammed a 3 run home run to help his team beat the Fighters on Apr 23. The next day the Fighters Michel Abreu homered twice to defeat the Hawks. In the 3rd game the Fighters Abreu homered again. The Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka managed to win on Apr 23 even though he gave up 15 hits. The Golden Eagles won Apr 25 on a homer by Kaz Matsui and 4 hits by Casy McGeghee.

On Apr 19 the Lions beat the Fighters but it was the other way around the next day, as the Fighters Brian Wolf had a shut out win.The Lions won the 3rd game. The Hawks won the first and third game from the Buffaloes. The Marines won all 3 games against the Golden Eagles.

The Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka started on Apr 16 and was not in very good shape and lost against the Hawks even though Casy McGeghee contributed with RBIs. The Golden Eagles lost its 4th game in a row the next day, but won on Apr 18 with a 3 run homerun by Andruw Jones. The Lions defeated the Buffaloes in the first game and lost the next game in which the Buffaloes Lee Dae-Ho homered. The Lions won the 3rd game. The Marines won the 1st and 3rd game against the Fighters.

The Golden Eagles defeated the Lions in a competitive game on Apr 12 with an RBI by Motohiro Shima. The Lions won the next 2 games. The Buffaloes Makoto Kaneko shut out the Fighters on Apr 12. His team won the next game too, but lost on Apr 14 in a see saw game in which the Fighters Yang Dai-Kang homered twice and Sho Nakata homered too. The Marines won in a close game against the Hawks on Apr 12, but lost the next 2.

On Apr 9 the Golden Eagles ace pitcher Masahiro Tanaka won his first game. It's against the Fighters. The Golden Eagles was shut out the following day, and lost again on Apr 11 due to Cuban, Michel Abreu's 3 run home run. The Marines defeated the Lions on Apr 9, but lost the next 2 days. The Buffaloes Yoshio Itoi helped his team beat the Hawks with his RBI against the Hawks on Apr 9. The Buffaloes won the next day,but lost in the 11th inning on Apr 11 to the Hawks Nobuhiro Matsuda's home run.

The Hawks Nobuhiro Matsuda slammed a 3 run home run on Apr 5 to defeat the Fighters. The Hawks won agains the next day but on Apr 7 the Fighters managed to win on Sho Nakata's 3 run home run. The Buffaloes Lee Dae Ho and T Okada homered to win the game against the Lions on Apr 5. The Buffaloes defeat the Lions again on 7 Apr with a homere and base hits by Yoshio Itoi. The Golden Eagles blasted including the first homer by Andruw Jones and overwhelmed the Marines on Apr 5. It won again the next day on Kaz Matsui's RBI.But it lost on Apr 8 when Marines Josh Whitesell homered 3 times.

From Apr 2, the Lions beat the Hawks in all 3 games. The Golden Eagles Masahiro Tanaka started his first game of the season on Apr 2. It's against the Buffaloes. He lasted 7 innings. Catcher Motohiro Shima contributed with 4 RBIs and won The Marines face the Fighters on Apr 3 and won. Its the Fighters 3rd loss in a row. However the next day the Fighters ended its losing streak on a grand slam by Yang Dai-Kang

Games opened on Mar 29. The Fighters chose to place high school graduate, super rookie Shohei Otani in the starting line up. He had his first RBI hit. The Fighters beat the Lions. However, the Fighters lost the next 2 games. The Hawks Yuichi Honda grandslammed to beat the Golden Eagles on Mar 29. But the Golden Eagles won the next to games. The Marines defeated the Buffaloes in the 12th inning in the first 2 games. In the first game it was on Katsuya Kakunaka's sacrifice RBI. In the 2nd, it was on a sacrifice RBI by Kazuya Fukuura. The Buffaloes won the 3rd.
