For the first time, an all star game was played in Iwate.
Starting for the Pacific, Golden Eagles star Masahiro Tanaka.
In the 3rd inning, the Fighters Yoh Dai-Kang slammed a 3 run home run.
The Swallows Kazuhiro Hatakeyama who hails from Iwate homered.
In the end, Pacific won 6 to 2.
MVP went to Yoh.
July 21 Matsuyama Bochan Stadium (25,612 audience)
The Marines Yoshihisa Naruse started, and in the first inning lost a run to the Swallows
Wladimir Balentien.
In the 3rd inning, the Giants Hayato Sakamoto slammed a 2 run home run.
Central won again 4 to 0 and Kenta Maeda who shut out 3 innings was awarded MVP.
July 20 Kyocera Dome Osaka (33,335 audience)
The first one up to bat, the Fighters Yoh Dai-Kang homered off the Giants Toshiya Sugiuchi.
Sugiuchi won the most number of voted from players.
Starting for the Pacific League, Yuki Saito of the Fighters who one the most number of fan votes in
his league.
The BayStars Norihiro Nakamura homered a 2 run at his former home ground he played as member of
the Kintetsu Buffaloes.
The Fighter Sho Nakata did the extraordinary. He slammed the ball, and it got stuck in the ceiling,
making it a double.
In the end the Central League won 4 to 1.
Nakamura was chosen MVP of this game.
