2nd stage: Hiroshima Carp vs Yokohama BayStars
Oct 15
Brad Eldred blasted a 3 run home run in the 1st inning. He accumulated 6 RBIs in all. Meanwhile the BayStars did not give up. It slowely hit in runs. But it was just a run short and lost 6 to 7. The Carp clindhed the Climax Series.

Oct 14
The BayStars finally was able to win. It's 3 to 0. In the 4th inning Elian Herrera hit in a 2 run homer. Takayuki Kajitani recorded an RBI. Ino pitched a shut out 7 innings and Yasuaki Yamazaki closed the game.

Oct 13
The Carp shut out the BayStars again. Its 3 to 0. This time Yusuke Nomura pitched a good 6 innings. Shota Nakazaki closed the game Yoshihiro Maru had 2 RBIS, including a base hit in a sacrifice fly. Kosuke Tanaka homered.

Oct 12
Hiroshima showed it was the Central League champion to start off the 2nd stage. It won 5 to 0. Kris Johnson shut out the BayStars.

1st stage: Yomiuri Giants vs Yokohama BayStars
Oct 10
It was a competitive game. To start with, Lopez slammed a 2 run home run. Then in the bottom of the inning, Shinnosuke Abe and Shuiichi Murata each homered to equalize. The game went into the 11th inning. Hiroki Mine hit in a run. And with that beat the Giants 4 to 2 to advance to the 2nd stage.

Oct 9
In the 3rd inning, Hayato Sakamoto homered. In the 8th, Sakamoto hit himself on base, which led to Hisayoshi Chono's RBI. Scott Mathieson closed the game. The Giants won 2 to 1.

Oct 8
Tomoyuki Sugano was initially expected to start for the Giants. But he was not in good shape and instead Mike Mikolas did. In the first inning, Hisayoshi Chono hit in a run. Then the BayStars equalized. Then Shinnosuke Abe hit in a run. But Yoshitomo Tsutsugo blasted a 2 run home run to give his team the lead. The game ended 5 to 3 for the BayStars.

Sept
The Carp remains strong beating the Giants again on Sept 15. On the next day, it shut out the Dragons. The Giants beat the Swallows on Shuichi Murata's 3 run home run. The Bay Stars beat the Tigers on Sept 15, but lost in the game the next day which 42 year old Daisuke Miura started. Miura pitched his final game on Sept 29 and retired.

The top 2 teams faced eachother from Sept 10. The Giants started out strong with Hayato Sakamoto's 2 run homer. But the Carp equalized then hit in more runs. The Carp won and also the league title for the first time in 25 years. The next day the Giants won. It will want to keep winning to secure its place in the Climax Series.

On Sept 9, the Giants beat the Swallows with a 3 run home run by Shuichi Murata, and prevented the Carp, which did not have a game from clinching the league title.

The countdown began for the Carp until the league victory. From Sept 6 it won all 3 games against the Dragons. Runner up the Giants slowed down its league victory by defeating the Tigers in all 3 games. The Swallows meanwhile won 2 of 3 games against the BayStars.

From Sept 2 the Carp played against the Swallows, and won the first game on Takahiro Arai's 3 run home run. It lost the next game even though the starter was Hiroki Kuroda. But won the 3rd game. The Giants lost all 3 games to the Dragons. The Tigers succumbed to its 7th loss in a row on Sept 3, but won the next day.

The Carp clinched the game from the BayStars on Sept 1 in the 10th inning on Yoshiharu Maru's RBI.

Aug
The Carp continues to do well. It defeated the BayStars on both games from Aug 30. The Giants won the 1st game against the Swallows on Shuichi Murata's RBI, but lost the next. The Tigers lost both games against the Dragons.

The Carp won 2 games against the Dragons from Aug 26. One, on a grand slam by Takahiro Arai. But it lost on Aug 28 to Naomichi Donoue's grand slam. The Giants lost all 3 games to the BayStars. The Tigers lost all 3 to the Swallows.

The top teams faced eachother from Aug 23. The Giants clinched the first game on Ryota Wakiya's game winning RBI. But the Giants lost the next 2. Meanwhile, the BayStars lost all 3 games against the Tigers. The Dragons won 2 games against the Swallows.

The Carp extends its wins to 5 games in a row on Aug 20 in the game against the Swallows which Hiroki Kuroda pitched a shut out 7 innings. The Giants beat the Tigers on Shinnosuke Abe's home run on Aug 19 and defeated the Tigers agains the next day. The BayStars Yoshitomo Tsutsugo slammed a 2 run home run to beat the Dragons 2 games in a row.

The Carp beat the Tigers in 2 games from Aug 16. The Giants played 3 games against the Dragons and won 2.

The Carp from Aug 12 won 2 lost 1 game against the BayStars. The Giants won 1 of 3 games against the Dragons. The Tigers did well defeating the Dragons in all 3 games.

The Giants winning streak reached 7 by defeating the Carp on both Aug 5 and 6. The Dragons losing streak ended at 4 on Aug 6 by beating the BayStars. The BayStars won the next 2 games. The Swallows beat the Tigers in 2 of 3 games.

On Aug 1, Carp's Takahiro Arai homered to help his team defeat the Swallows. But the Swallows won the next 2 games. The Giants beat the Dragons on Aug 2 and on the 3rd, Kazuto Taguchi had a shut out win. The Tigers won 2 games of the 3 played against the BayStars from Aug 2. Attention on baseball is very small with the Olympic Games taking place.

July
The Carp played against the BayStars from Jul 29. In the first game the BayStars Yoshitomo Tsutsugo homered twice for a win. Tsutugo homered in the next game too and defeated started Hirokazu Kuroda. The Carp won the 3rd game. The Giants played well against the Swallows winning all 3 games. The Dragons won the first, but the Tigers won the next 2.

From Jul 27 the Carp played against the Giants. Hisayoshi Chono, Shinosuke Abe, Garrett Jones homered to win. While Carp's Kosuke Tanaka homered twice the next day to help the Carp win. The BayStars beat the Dragons on July 26 and 27, but lost on the 28th . The Tigers finally are picking up, defeating the Swallows in all 3 games.

On Jul 22, the Carp beat the Tigers, on the 23rd, the Tigers defeated the Carp. The BayStars Yoshitomo Tsutsugo continues to explode with home runs with which he took the team to a victory over the Giants on Jul 22. The Giants only won the 3rd game against the BayStars. The Dragons on Jul 22 beat the Swallows. The Swallows won a 10th inning game the next day on Tetsuto Yamada's RBI, but lost the next.

The Carps Takahiro Arai slammed a game finishing home run against the Dragons on Jul 18. He homered again the next day and his team won. The Carp lost on Jul 20 in which the Dragons Yohei Onishi achieved a cycle hit. The Giants also beat the Tigers in all 3 games. The Swallows defeated the BayStars on Jul 18 but lost the next two games basically to Yoshitomo Tsutsugo's home runs.

From Jul 11 the Dragons won the first game against the BayStars. But the BayStars won the next 2. The Carp clobbered the Giants on Jul 12 with Takahiro Arai's 2 home runs. The next day, the Giants won on home runs by Shinnosuke Abe and Shuichi Murata. The Tigers won 2 games over the Swallows.

From Jul 8, the Carp beat the Tigers in all 3 games. The Giants also beat the BayStars in all 3. The Swallows won 2 of the games against the Dragons.

The Carp beat the Dragons on July 4, but it lost the next game which Hiroki Kuroda started. The Giants won the first 2 games against the Tigers, but lost the 3rd and fell to 4th place. The BayStars defeated the Swallows in all 3 games.

The Carp is doing all right, defeating the Carp on July 2 and 3 with home runs. The Giants lost to the Swallows on July 2 and 3. The Dragons are doing fairly well defeating the Tiger in 2 of 3 games.

June
The Carp continues to do incredibly well. From June 28 it played against the Swallows and marked its 11th win in a row on June 29. It finally lost the next day. The Giants lost the first and 3rd games against the Dragons. The Tigers beat the BayStars on June 28, but lost to the BayStars Yasutomo Kubo's shut out pitch on June 30.

From June 24, teams are back playing in their respective leagues. The Carp defeated the Tigers in all 3 games. It was a shocking loss for the Tigers on June 26 as a result of outfielders crashing into eachother and dropping the ball. The Giants lost to the BayStars in the first 2 games. In the 3rd game Garrett Jones slammed 3 homers to help the Giants win. The Swallows Tetsuto Yamada blasted a 2 run home run to help his team beat the Dragons on June 24. He homered again the next day to contribute to the team's win. That Swallows won all 3 games against the Dragons.

May
Top runner of the league, the Carp lost from May 27, the first 2 games against the BayStars which was supported by Yoshitomo Tsutsugo's RBIs but won the 3rd with a home run by Yoshihiro Maru. The Dragons beat the Swallows in the first and 3rd games. The Giants faced its 7th straight loss, on May 28, but won the next day against the Tigers.

Carp's Brad Eldred homered twice and Yoshihiro Maru also homered to beat the Giants on May 25. The Carp defeated the Giants the next 2 games. The Tigers beat the Swallows on May 25, but the Swallows clinched the next 2 games in the final inning. The BayStars beat the Dragons on May 25 and 26.

The Giants played against the Dragons from May 20. It won the first but lost the next 2, and fell to 2nd place. Meanwhile the Carp won against the Tigers with Hiroki Kuroda pitching well on May 20. The Carp lost the next but won the 3rd with home runs by Ryuhei Matsuyama and surged to 1st place. Competing for the bottom, the Swallows won 2 of the 3 games from the BayStars.

The Giants began to perform poorly. It lost to the BayStars on May 17 in which Jose Lopez homered twice and the next day again. Carp's Kris Johnson shut out the Swallows on May 17. The Swallows won the next day. But the Carp won in the 10th inning on May 19. The Dragon won the first game against the Tigers, but lost the next 2, and on May 19 the 2 teams tied for 3rd place.

On May 14 and 15, the Giants beat the Swallows on Hayato Sakamoto's RBI. The Tigers beat the BayStars on May 14 and tied the following day. The Carp won the 1st game against the Dragons and tied in the next.

The Carp placed against the Swallows from May 10.The Carp won the first. The Swallows won the next 2. The Dragons won the first game, the BayStars the next with a home run by Yoshitomo Tsutsugo and won a 12 inning game on the 3rd. The Giants was back on top on May 11. Based a new rule that prohibits blocking home base when a runner tries to come home, the Giants beat the Swallows.

League standings changed around from May 6. The Giants lost all 3 games against the Dragons. The Giants fell to 3rd place and the Dragons got on top. The Carp was 2nd as of May 8 playing against the BayStars. The Tigers won the first game against the Swallows but lost the next 2.

The Giants regained first place on May 3 with Garrett Jones's RBI against the Carp which fell to 2nd place. League standing reversed the next day then again on May 5 with the Giants Tomoyuki Sugano hurling over the distance. The Swallows blasted on May 3 with home runs by Vladimir Balentien, Tetsuto Yamada and Hiroshi Yamandka shutting out the BayStars.But lost the next 2 games. The Dragons won the first game against the Tigers but lost the next 2 games.

The Giants faced a big defeat on the Swallows Wladimir Balentien's 3 run home run on May 1 and fell from the top rank. The Carp clinched the game against the Dragons on Brad Eldred's RBI. The Tigers beat the BayStars.

April
The Swallows beat the Giants in 2 games from Apr 29. The Carp won 2 games against the Dragons. The Tigers won the first from the BayStars but lost the next.

The Giants beat the Tigers in the first 2 games from Apr 26, while they tied on Apr 28, as Kazuhiro Sawamura could not save Tomoyuki Sugano's game. The Dragons clinched the first game from the BayStars while for the 2nd, the BayStars Yoshitomo Tsutsugo homered his 8th of the season and his team won. The Dragons won the 3rd. The Carps Brad Eldred had 2 homers to help his team defeat the Swallows on Apr 26. Then the next day Yusuke Nomura shut out the Swallows. The Swallows won the 3rd game.

The Giants finally was back in the games on Apr 22 after cancelling games in Kyushu due to the devastating earthquakes. It played against the BayStars at the Tokyo Dome. The game ended a draw. The BayStars shut out the Giants in the next games.

The Tigers Kosuke Fukudome's RBI helped his team defeat the Swallows on Apr 18. The Swallows Hiroshi Yamanaka won his first game on Apr 20 as he expressed his tribute to his quake damaged home in Kumamoto. The BayStars Jose Lopez grand slammed to defeat the Carp.

On Apr 17, The Giants Shuichi Murata's hit in a run to clinch the game against the Carp. The Dragons Dayan Viciedo is a wonder. He hit a 3 run on Apr 15. This time his homerun in the 10th inning gave his team a win over Tigers. The Swallows won with a sayonara RBI by Yuhei Nakamura over the BayStars.

On Apr 12, the Carp surged to first place by beating the Dragons on Eldered's base hit and home run. The Tigers tied for first by defeating the BaayStars. The next day, the Giants Sugano shut out the Swallows.

From Apr 8 the Giants faced the Dragons. Lost the first, tied in the next and the Giants won the 3rd. The Swallows beat the BayStars on Apr 8 with Yuhei Takai's 3 run homer. The BayStars won the the next with homers by Jose Lopez and the BayStars beat the Swallows in the 3rd game to. The Tigers clincehd the first game from the Carp, the Carp's Yoshihiro Maru and Hector Luna beat the Tigers in the next, and also won the 3rd.

The Giants faced the Tigers from Apr 5. Shintaro Fujinami struck out 12 to wins already his 2nd game of the season. Then it was Tomoyuki Sugano who hurled a shut out game against the Tigers the next day. The Tigers clobbered the Giants in the 3rd game with a 2 run home run by Kosuke Fukudome. The Dragons won the first 2 games against the BayStars and tied in the 3rd. The Carp played 2 games against the Swallows and won both.

On Apr 1, the Giants Soichiro Tatenoka hit in a run in the 10th inning defeat the Carp. But the next day Hiroki Kuroda shut out the Giants and Carp's Yoshihiro Maru homered. The Giants won the 3rd game on homers by Garrett Jones and Hayato Sakamoto. The Swallows Tetsuto Yamada homered to defeat the Dragons on Apr 1. The Swallows won the next game, but lost the 3rd. The BayStars clinched the game from the Tigers on Apr 1, but the Tigers won the next 2.

The Giants won its first game against the BayStars on Mar 29 with home runs by Luis Cruz and Garrett Jones. It lost the first game of the season the next day but one the 3rd game in the 11th inning. The Swallows won its first game of the season on Mar 30 against the Tigers. It tied against the Tigers the next game. The Dragons beat the Carp in the 2 of 3 games from Mar 29.

Giants Yoshinobu Takahashi was no longer a player but the manager of the team. His debut on March 25 took off to a good start. The Giants defeated the Swallows in all 3 games. The Tigers under its new manager Tomoaki Kanemoto lost the first game against the Dragons, but won the next 2. The Carp won the game in which Kuroda started, but tied in the first and won the 3rd.
