2nd stage: Hiroshima Carp vs Yokohama BayStars
Oct 24
The BayStars Kuwahara blasted a 2 run home run to give his team the lead. Yoshitomo Tsutsugo homered twice. The BayStars won 9 to 3 and with this victory advanced to the Japan Series. The Yokohama team goes to the Japan Series for the first time in 19 years.

Oct 23
The 2 teams had to put off 2 games due to torrential rain. At least game was held on this day. Yoshitomo Tsutsugo homered. So did Jose Lopez. The BayStars won 4 to 3.

Oct 20
The BayStars won again, beating the Carp 1 to 0. As the Carp has a game advantage, with this consecutire win the BayStars tied with the Carp.

Oct 19
The BayStars beat the Carp 6 to 2.

Oct 18
The Carp clinched the game which was about to be called in the 5th inning, hit in runs the last minute and won 3 to 0.

1st stage: Hanshin Tigers vs Yokohama BayStars
Oct 17
The 3rd game could not be held on the 16th due to heavy rain. This time, the BayStars blasted from the first inning. In the 4th inning, Jose Lopez homered a 2 run. The BayStars won 6 to 1.

Oct 15
The match held at Koshien was delay by an hour due to the rain. The ground became mushy but the game went on until the end. The Tigers hit in runs first. But in the 7th inning the BayStars blasted and won 13 to 6.

Oct 14
Randy Messenger started for the Tigers. He was supported by Kosuke Fukudome's 2 won home run and the Tigers won 2 to 0.

October
On Oct 1, the BayStars beat the Carp. The Giants lost to the Tigers. As a result, the BayStars clinched its place in Climax Series. The Giants for the first time has not qualified to advance. Manager Yoshinobu Takahashi gave his wrap up speech with tears to fans at the Tokyo Dome.

September
All eyes are on whether it's the BayStars of the Giants which will qualify to the Climax Series. The situation became bad for the Giants as the Giants lost to the Carp in 2 games from Sept 22, which the BayStars beat the Dragons on Sept 23, taking a 1.5 game lead. The Giants beat the Swallows on Sept 24, and the BayStars beat the Tigers meaning the game difference was unchanged. Giants went on a winning streak since, beating the Swallows In all 3 games, and on Sept 27, defeating the Dragons. The BayStars tied against the Tigers on Sept 27, and lost on Sept 28. With these victories, the Tigers secured its place in the Climax Series.

The Carp faced the Tigers in Koshien on Sept 18. The Carp's Xavier Batista hit in a run to break the draw and with this the team won the league title. It's the 2nd year in a row. As to the competition for 3rd place, the Giants lost to the Dragons while the BayStars defeated the Swallows. The BayStars and the Giants tie for 3rd place.

From Sept 16 the Giants faced the BayStars. The BayStars won the first game and tied with the Giants for 3rd place. The Carp lost to the Swallows.

The Carp's countdown for the league victory has started. It beat the BayStars in 2 of 3 games from Sept 12. The Giants and the BayStars compete for 3rd place to advance to the Climax Series. The Giants tied against the Tigers on Sept 12, then beat the Tigers the next day to surge to 3rd place. They tied agains on Sept 14.

The Carp extended its winning streak to 9 on Sept 10 by beating the Dragons in all 3 games. The Tigers Takashi Toritani marked his 2000th career hit on Sept 8 and the team beat the BayStars in this game and the next 2. The Giants won 2 of 3 games against the Swallows from Sept 8.

The Carp keeps to a invincible pace from Sept 5, beating the Tigers in all 3 very competitive games. The BayStars won 2 of 3 games against the Swallows. The Giants and the Dragons won a game each.

The Carp beat the Swallows in all 3 games from Sept 1. The Tigers Takashi Toritani homered on Sept 1 to help his team defeat the Dragons. In the next game Seishiro Sakamoto blasted a 3 run to support another Hanshin victory. The Dragons won the 3rd game. The Giants and BayStars competing for 3rd place to advance to the Climax Series had close games from Sept 1. The Giants won the first 2 games.

August
The Carp won the game against the Giants on Aug 29, but lost the next 2. The Tigers played well against the Swallows from Aug 29 and won all 3 games. The Dragons won 2 of 3 games against the BayStars.

The Carp picked itself up from Aug 25, beating the Dragons in the first 2 games. But it lost the 3rd. The Giants won 2 of 3 games against the Tigers. The BayStars continue to do well wining 2 of 3 games against the Swallows.

The BayStars were incredible from Aug 22. It had in runs in the final inning against the Carp in all 3 games to win. The Swallows won the first game on Carlos Rivero's game winning RBI but lost the next 2 to the Tigers. The Giants beat the Dragons on Aug 22 on RBIs by Hayato Sakamoto and Shinnosuke Abe. The Giants lost the next game.

The Carp beat the Swallows on Aug 18 on Ryosuke Kikuchi's home run. The Swallows won the next day on Tetsudo Yamada's grand slam. On Aug 20, Brad Eldred's RBI finished the game for the Carp. The Giants beat the BayStars in all 3 games from Aug 18. The Tigers won all 3 games against the Dragons.

The Carp defeated the Tigers in the first 2 games from Aug 15, but lost the 3rd to Kosuke Fukudome's game winning sacrifice fly. The Giants and the Swallows faced eachother and won a game each. The Baystars beat the Dragons in 2 games.

The Carp faced the Giants from Aug 11. The Carp's Seiya Suzuki's 2 run homer did not help the team win. But the Carp won the next day on Kazuki Yabuta's shut out pitch, and won the 3rd game too. The Tigers won the first 2 games against the BayStars. Yoshitomo Tsutsugo homered twice to help his team beat the Tigers. The Swallows Wladimir Balentien and Tetsudo Yamada blasted in the first game to defeat the Dragons. It lost the next but won the 3rd.

The Carp seems to have lost gas, tying a game against the Dragons on Aug 8 and losing the next 2. The BayStars won 2 against the Swallows. The Giants Shinnosuke Abe hit well against the Tigers on Aug 8 to win, the Giants lost the next and won the 3rd game.

The Carp won 2 of 3 games against the BayStars from Aug 4. The Tigers beat the Swallows in all 3 games. The Giants lost 2 of 3 against the Dragons.

The Carp played against the Tigers from Aug 1. They won a game each and had a draw in another. The Giants exploded on Aug 1 against the Swallows with a 2 run home run by Miles Mikolas, a 3 run by Yoshiyuki Kamei. In the next game Shinnosuke Abe slammed a 2 run, Shuiichi Murata a 3 run to win. The Swallows won the 3rd game with a homer by Wladimir Balentien.

July
The top team and the team at the bottom faced eachother from Jul 28. The Carp's Seiya Suzuki homered in the first game and won. The Swallows won the next with homers by Wladimir Balentien and Tetsuto Yamada. The Tigers beat the Dragons in the first 2 games. The Giants beat the BayStars in 2 games from Jul 29.

From Jul 25 the Carp faced the Giants and won the first 2 games. The BayStars beat the Tigers in the first 2 games, and their ranks were reversed with the BayStars climbing to 2nd place. On Jul 28, the Tigers won and they tied for 2nd place. The Swallows was back on track from Jul 25, winning the first on a walk against the Dragons, then winning a game that the Dragons led by 10 runs, then on Jul 27 won on Wladimir Balentien's home runs.

The Carp lost the game against the Dragons on Jul 21, but won the next 2 games. The Swallows consecutive loss ended at 14 on Jul 22 when it defeated the Tigers. It was however, shut out the following day. The Giants and the BayStars tied on Jul 21. The Giants ace Tomohiro Sugano pitched well the next day to win his 10th game. In the 3rd game Yoshitomo Tsutsugo finished the game with his home run to help the BayStars win.

From Jul 17, the Carp faced the Tigers. Carp won the last 2. The Giants Miles Mikolas not only pitched well on Jul 17 against the Dragons, he also hit in 2 RBIs. The Giants lost the next game but won the 3rd. The Swallows is in trouble. It did not win any games agasint the BayStars and on Jul 19 recorded its 13th straight loss.

The Carp faced the BayStars from Jul 10. Its consecutive win stopped at 4 on Jul 11, but was back to win the next day. The Giants from Jul 10 is back on track defeating the Swallows in all 3 games. The Tigers beat the Dragon in 2 games.

The Carp had a dramatic win against the Swallows on July 7. Pinch hitter Takahiro Arai slammed a 3 run home run off Yasuhiro Ogawa to clinch a win. The next day the Swallows won. But on Jul 9. they tied. The Giants won the first 2 games against the Tigers. Kento Itohara slammed a 2 run home run and a game winning run for the Tigers in the 2rd game. The Dragons winning streak ended by the BayStar on Jul 8. The BayStars won the next day too with a home run by Jose Lopez.

The Carp played against the Giants from Jul 4. They were shut out in the first 2 games, but won the 3rd on Yoshihiro Maru's home run. The Dragons beat the Swallows in all 3 games. The BayStars won 1 and lost 1 against the Tigers.

Carp's Brad Eldred homered 3 times to beat the Dragons on Jul 1. The next day the Carp won on Seiya Suzuki's 3 run home run. The Carp beat the Swallows in 2 games. The Giants lost against the BayStars in 2 games.

June
Games were mostly played in rural stadiums from Jun 27. The Giants Hisayasu Chono homered to help his team beat the Swallows, but the next day the Swallows won. The Carp beat the BayStars in the first game but lost the next to Takayuki Kajitani's 3 run home run. The Tigers lost its 7th game in a row to the Dragons on Jun 29.

From June 23, games are played in the respective leagues. The Carp remain strong beating the Tigers.first with Yoshihiro Maru's 2 run homerun and Kikuchi's grand slam. Kikuchi homered again on June 25. The Giants lost the first 2 games against the Dragons, won the last on Shingo Ishikawa's game winning RBI. The Swallows won its first game against the BayStars, lost the next 2.

May
The Tigers faced the BayStars from May 26. It won only 1 of 3 games, falling to 2nd place while the Carp replaced the Tigers for 1st place, as the Carp defeated the Giants in all 3 games. The Dragons and the Swallows won a game each.

The Giants beat the Tigers in 2 games from May 23. On May 24, Takashi Toritani was hit by a pitch and his face was covered in blood. He broke his nose. still he played as a pinch hitter the next day to extend his consecutive game appearance, with a nose mask. The Carp beat the Swallows in 2 games. The Dragons Yota Kyoda contributed with hits on May 24 against the BayStars. The next day the BayStars won.

From May 19, the Swallow won the first 2 games from the Tigers, which included a 3 run homer by Tetsuto Yamada. The Dragons clinched the game in the 10th inning on Dayan Viciedo's 2 run homer against the Carp. It won the next 2 games. The Giants won the 1st and 3rd games against the BayStars. Kazuto Taguchi shut out the BayStars on May 21.

On May 16, the Tigers Masahiro Nakatani blasted with a 3 run homer, Yoshio Itoi with a 2 run to defeat the Dragons. The Tigers won the next day, but lost the 3rd game. The Carp on May 16 clobbered the BayStars, lost the next but won the 3rd with home runs by Yoshihiro Maru and Brad Eldred. The Giants Tomohiro Sugano won his 5th game while Shinnosuke Abe slammed a 2 run home run against the Swallows.. But the Giants lost the next 2 games.

Spring storm rained out many games from May 12. The Tigers won the 2 games its played against the BayStars. The Carp beat the Giants in 2 games. The Dragons and the Swallows won a game each.

The Giants stopped the Tigers winning streak at 6 on May 10 with home runs by Shinnosuke Abe, Hayato Sakamoto and Hisayoshi Chono. The Swallows faced the Carp from May 9 won the first on Shoitsu Omatsu's 12th inning home run. The next day the Carp won but the Swallows clinched the 3rd game on Tetsuto Yamada's RBIs. The Dragons beat the BayStars thanks to Dayan Viciedo's 2 run home run on May 9 but the BayStars won the next 2 games.

The Tigers played supremely from May 5, by defeating the Carp in all 3 games and emerging to 1st place. The Giants won the first 3 games against the Dragons, lost the 3rd to Dayan Viciedos's RBIs. The BayStars Yoshitomo Tsutsugo slammed a 3 run home run on May 5 against the Swallows. THe BayStars won the next game but lost the 3rd.

The Carp beat the Dragons in all 3 games from May 2 with its win in the 3rd clinched on Takahiro Arai's RBI. The Tigers lost its first game against the Swallows but won the next with an RBI by Takashi Toritani and the 3rd on Kosuke Fukudome's 2 run home run. The Giants Tomohiro Sugano again marked a shut out win on May 2. Its against the BayStars. Then Kan Otake pitched well in the next game to help the Giants win. But the Giants lost the 3rd game.

From Apr 28 the BayStars won 2 of 3 games against the Carp. The Tigers beat the Dragons in 2 of 3 games. The Giants won the game on Apr 28 on Casy McGehee's 3 run home run against the Swallows but lost the next 2. bt

The Giants Tomohiro Sugano shut out the Carp in the game on Apr 25, but the Giants lost the next 2 games. The Dragons Alex Guerro slammed a 3 run homer for his team to beat the Swallows on Apr 25. The Swallows won the next day, and the Dragons clinched the 3rd. The BayStars Yoshitomo Tsutsugo hit in a run to defeat the Tigers on Apr 25. The Tigers won on Apr 27 on Yoshio Itoi's 2 run homer.

The match with a long tradition was held at Tokyo Dome from Apr 21. The Tigers won the first. The Giants won the next thanks to Masato Taguchi's good pitching. The Tigers Kosuke Fukudome contributed with 2 runs in the 3rd game. The Swallows beat the Carp in the first 2 games. The BayStars and the Dragons tied in the first game, the BayStars won the next, and the Dragons clinched the 3rd.

The Carp's Tsubasa Aizawa hit in a game winning run to defeat the BayStars on Apr 18. The Carp lost the next 2 games though. The Giants Tomoyuki Sugano shut out the Swallows in Kumamoto which observes a year since a destructive earthquake hit. The Giants won the next game too. The Tiger won on Yoshio Itoi's RBI on Apr 18 against the Dragons, but lost the next 2 games.

The Tigers and the Carp played competitive games from Apr 14 and the Tigers won 2 of them. The Giants losing streak ended at 5 on Apr 15 in the game against the Dragons and won the next day too. The BayStars won 2 games against the Swallows with newcomer Phil Klein hitting in a game winning run on Apr 16.

On Apr 11 the Giants and the Carp played a see saw game which the Carp eventually clinched.The Carp beat the Giants in all 3 games. On Apr 12, the Dragons beat the Swallows in the 10th inning, but the Swallows won the next game. The Tigers defeated the BayStars in both games.

On Apr 4, Tomohiro Sugano started and pitched well and the Giants beat the Tigers. Then the next day Tetsuya Utsumi pitched well to win again. The Giants lost its first game of the season to the BayStars on Apr 6. The Carp's Brad Eldred helped the team with this 2 run home run against the Dragons on Apr 4. They tied the next day, and the Carp won the 11th inning game the 3rd day. The Tigers Shintaro Fujinami did not have good control of his pitches on Apr 4, hitting batters and walking them. His team lost to the Swallows. The Tigers won the next day on Yoshio Itoi's home run, then clinched the 11 inning game the next day.

On Apr 1, in the 10th inning the Carp's Tomohiro Abe hit in a game running home run against the Tigers. The next day the Carp had an easy win over the Tigers. The Giants Shinnosuke Abe slammed a game winning 3 run home run against the Dragons on Apr 1. The next day Giants newcomer Casey McGehee hit in a run to give the team a lead. On Apr 1 the BayStars beat the Swallows but lost the next day in the 10th inning on Atsushi Ukumori's grand slam.

At the Tokyo Dome on March 31, the game was opened by woman karate champion Kyo Shimizu who first showed her kata then took off her wear to pitch in the Giants uniform. The Giants big names blasted. Shinnosuke Abe and Hayato Sakamoto homered. The opening pitcher was Miles Mikolas. The Giants won 6 to 2 against the Dragons. Last season's champion, the Carp lost to the Tigers 6 to 10. The Tigers new player Yoshio Itoi blasted with 3 RBIs. Takashi Toritani also hit in a run. The Swallows game was opened by Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike. 37 year old Masanori Ishikawa pitched well. Wladimir Balentien hit in 2 runs. The Swallows beat the BayStars 9 to 2.
