The game on Oct 12 was cancelled due to super typhoon Hagitis hitting. In this game Kazuma Okamoto homered again. The Giants won 4 to 1 to secure its advancement to the Japan Series.

Oct 11
Toshiki Sakurai was out of control walking 3. But Kazuma Okamoto helped with an equalizing 2 run home run. Then the Tigers Yusuke Ohyama slammed a game winning home run to give the Tigers a 7 to 6 win.

Oct 10
Alex Guerrero slammed a 2 run homerun. Yoshitomo Maru hit in a run. The Giants won 6 to 0.

Oct 9
Shun Yamaguchi started for the Giants. He was supported by homeruns by Yoshitomo Maru and Kazuma Okamoto. Hayato Sakamoto hit in 2 runs. The Giants won 5 to 2 at the Tokyo Dome packed with 45277 people.

1st stage:Yokohama BayStars vs Hanshin Tigers
Oct 7
In a very competitive game, veteran pitcher Kyuji Fujikawa was on the mound. He prevented the BayStars from hitting in a run, and took his team to the next stage. The Tigers won 2 to 1.

Oct 6
Jose Lopez slammed a 2 run home run for th BayStars. With veteran slugger Kosuke Fukudome's home run the Tigers equalized. But the BayStars clinched the game with Otosaka's game winning home run. The BayStars won 6 to 4.

Oct 5
In the game in Yokohama Stadium, Yoshitomo Tsutsugo blasted a 3 run home run giving the BayStars a strong start. The Tigers Fumiya Hojo slammed a 3 run, then he hit in a two run triple to take the lead. The Tigers won 8 to 7.

Sept
On Sept 30, the Tigers won its 6th games in a row. As a result it has secured 3rd place in the league, enabling the team to play in the Climax Series along with the BayStars.

A sad day to Giants fan. On Sept 24, Shinnosuke Abe announced he was retiring. Its as a decision he made after the game against the Swallows on Sept 22. On Sept 27 a special game was held to honor Abe to wrap up the regular season at the Tokyo Dome. He was the starting catcher for the first time in 4 years. The pitcher, Scott Mathieson, who Abe said he wanted to form the battery with for the last time. Abe did not disappoint fans. He blasted a home run to equalize against the BayStars. In the end the Giants won.

The Giants faced the BayStars from Sept 20, won the first with 2 homers by Hayato Sakamoto. It clinched a 10 inning game the next day and secured first place in the league finish. It's the 8th time Tatsunori Hara wins as skipper of the Giants.

The Giants from Sept 18 lost 2 games against the Dragons. The Tigers and the Swallows won a game each. On Sept 19 the BayStars clinched a competitive game with Neftali Soto's 3 run home run.

The Giants beat the Tigers on Sept 15 on Alex Guerrero's 2 run home run, but lost the next day. The Dragons and the BayStars won a game each. The Swallows defeated the Carp in 2 games.

The Giants faced the Carp from Sept 13, its pitcher Yamaguchi won the first game but lost the next. The Tigers won on Kosuke Fukudome's 3 run home run on Sept 13 against the Dragons but lost the next game to Yudai Ohno's no hitter pitch. On Sept 14, the BayStars Yoshitomo Tsutsugo homered to help his team beat the Swallows.

On Sept 6 the Giants lost to the Swallows Wladimir Balentien's 2 run homerun, for its 6th straight loss. It's losing streak ended the next day. The Carp faced the Tigers and won 2 games. The Dragons clinched all 3 games from the Dragons.

The Giants failed against the Dragons from Sept 3, losing all 3 games. The Carp won 2 of 3 games against the Swallows. The BayStars and the Tigers won a game each from Sept 4.

The Giants faced the Tigers from Aug 30, with teams winning a game each. The Dragons and the Swallows also won a game each. The BayStars winning streak end at 5 on Aug 31 in the game against the Carp.

The Giants had a bad start against the Carp from Aug 27, but won the next 2 games. The BayStars beat the Swallows in all 3 games. The Dragons beat the Tigers on Aug 28.

On Aug 23 the BayStars beat the Giants, while the Giants won the next day on Shingo Ishikawa's game clinching 2 run home run. The Giants lost the 3rd game to Neftali Soto's home run. The Tigers won the first 2 games against the Swallows, lost the 3rd. The Dragons defeated the Carp in 2 of 3 games.

The Giants Shinnosuke Abe slammed his career 400th homerun on June 1 to defeat the Dragons. Hayato Sakamoto homered twice the next day to beat the Dragons. The Carp tied with the Tigers in the first game. The Tigers won the next day. The Swallows lost against the BayStars on June 1, or its 16th loss in a row. That losing streak ended the next day.

The Carp beat the Tigers on May 31. The Dragons defeated the Giants. The Swallows faced its 15th loss in a rown in the game against the BayStars.
