The Hawks won the next on Akito Nakamura's RBI. The Swallows clinched the 3rd game.
On the morning of the first day, Japan was shaken by the death of baseball superstar Shigeo Nagashima. He died at the age of 89.
He was honorary manager of the Giants.
The Giants were not able to send him off with victories. It did not
play on the day, the lost to the Marines in the 2 games it's played.
