Climax Series
2nd stage: Fukuoka Softbank Hawks vs Nippon Ham Fighters
The Fighters had no day in between the 1st and 2nd stage. On Oct 15, it was in Fukuoka to face the league champions. In the 7th inning, the Fighters Sho Nakata slammed an equalizing home run. Then the Fighters took the lead. In the 9th inning, the Hawks got runners on base. Yuki Yoshimura hit in 2 runs to finish the game 3 to 2 for the Hawks.
On Oct 16, Sho Nakata blasted a 2 run home run to help his team win 5 to 1. On Oct 17, the Fighters clobbered the Hawks with 2 homers by Yoh Daikan, and another home run by Sho Nakata. The Fighters won 12 to 4.
On Oct 18 Nobuhiro Matsuda contributed with 4 hits, helping the Hawks defeat the Fighter 5 to 2.
It appeared it was all over for the Fighters by the 2nd inning on Oct 19 as its young pitcher Shohei Otani gave up 4 runs in 2 innings. But the Fighters there after caught up on Sho Nakata's home run. The game went into extra innings. In the 11th inning, Takuya Nakashima hit in a 2 RBI single to give the Fighters a 6 to 4 win. The Hawks with a one game advantage and the Fighters tied with 3 wins each play another game to finalize who will advance to the Japan Series.
The winner on Oct 20 will go to the Japan Series. The Hawks hit in runs first. Then Tooru Hosokawa homered. The Hawks easily won this time 4 to 1. Koji Akiyama was thrown up and down to celebrate. Then the Fighters players approached the Fighters Atsunori Inaba and gave him a farewell throw.

1st stage: Orix Buffaloes vs Nippon Ham Fighters
The Fighters started on Oct 11, Shohei Otani. He did not do too well, unable to control his pitched. Then his opponent Chihiro Kaneko was not as good either. He gave up 3 runs. Takuya Nakashima's RBI on a squeeze helped the team win.The Fighters won 6 to 3. The next game was a see saw game. Akinori Inaba in the 8th inning hit in a run to take the lead. But in the bottom of that inning, T Okada slammed a 3 run home run to regain the lead and win 6 to 4, to take the first stage to the 3rd game. However the 3rd game expected on Oct 13 was postponed do to a typhoon hitting Osaka. It was held on Oct 14. Akinori Inaba hit in an equalizing run. The game went into extra innings. In the 10th inning, the Fighters Sho Nakata homered. With that the Fighters won 2 to 1, and advanced to the 2nd stage.

Oct
The Golden Eagles lost is final game of the season led by skipper Senichi Hoshino against the Buffaloes. Last season Eagles was league champion

On Oct 5, the Fighters starting pitcher Shohei Otani broke the speed record hurling a fast ball of 162km/hr. His team won on Yoh Daikan's RBI against the Golden Eagles.

The Hawks faced the Buffaloes in its final game of the seaon on Oct 2. It had to win to clinch the pennant. It turned out to be a competitive game which went into extra inning. In the 10th inning, Nobuhiro Matsuda finished the game with an RBI and the Hawks clinched the league victory. On the same day, the Lions won a competitive game on Ernesto Mejia's home run against the Fighters. The Lions defeated the Golden Eagles the next day on Takeya Nakamura's home run.

Ayumu Ishikawa of the Marines shut out the Lions for his 10th win on Oct 1. The Fighters defeated the Golden Eagles.

Sept
On Sept 29 the Fighters Yuki Saito started and won the game against the Lions. The next day Atsunori Inaba slammed a 2 run home run in his last home game before retiring. The Buffaloes won again on Sept 29. It's on T Okada's 3 run home run against the Golden Eagles. It won the next day too and Chihiro Kaneko earned his 16th win.

The Buffaloes won both games against the Marines from Sept 28. The Hawks lost its 5th game in the row. Its in the game against the Fighters. The Golden Eagles beat the Lions.

On Sept 27, the Fighters defeated the Buffaloes with Sho Nakata's game winning home run. The Lions Takeya Nakamura homered to help beat the Golden Eagles.

The Hawks lost all 3 game against the Golden Eagles from Sept 23. The Lions Takayuki Kishi won his 13th game pitching well against the Buffaloes on Sept 23. The next day it was the Buffaloes Chihiro Kaneko to shut out the Lions and win his 15th game. The Buffaloes won the next game too. The Marines Alfredo Despaigne contributed to his teams win over the Fighters on Sept 23. The Marines won the next game too, but not the 3rd.

The Hawks lost its 4th consecutive game on Sept 20, but managed to stop that losing streak the next day by beating the Lions. The Marines won the first 2 games against the Buffaloes from Sept 19, lost the 3rd in which Hikaru Ito finished the game with an RBI. The Golden Eagles Takahiro Norimoto recorded his 7th shut out over the distance game by pitching well against the Fighters. The Golden Eagles won the next game, but lost the 3rd.

The Hawks Lee Dae-Ho slammed a 3 run homer to help his team beat the Buffaloes on Sept 16. The Hawks lost the next two. Golden Eagles did well since Sept 16 against the Marines winning all 3 games. The Lions and the Fighters won a game each.

The Hawks Lee Dae-Ho helped his team win with his home run against the Marines on Sept 13. The Hawks lost the next 2 games. The Fighters Shohei Otani shut out the Buffaloes on Sept 13 and won. The Buffaloes won the next. Then on Sept 15 the Fighters Naoyuki Uwasawa shut out the Buffaloes. The Golden Eagles defeated the Lions on Sept 13, but lost the next 2 games.

On Sept 9, the Golden Eagles Kazu Matsui finished the game with his RBI against the Buffaloes. Motohiro Shima hit in a run the next day then it was the Buffaloes that clinched the 3rd game. The Lions Takeya Nakamura homered off the Marines on Sept 9 to take his team to a win. The Marines won the next 2 games. The Fighters Yang Daikang blasted a 2 run home run on Sept 9 to help his team beat the Hawks. The Hawks won the next. The Fighters won on Sept 11 on Sho Nakata's 3 run home run.

The Hawks faced the Lions from Sept 5, won the first 2, but lost the 3rd to Takeya Nakamura's RBI. The Buffaloes marked its 4th loss in a row on Sept 5 playing against the Fighter, but won the next two games. The Marines clinched the first game, lost the next 2 against the Golden Eagles.

On Sept 2 the Hawks and the Buffaloes tied. The Hawks clinched the next 2 games. The Marines won the first 2 games agaisnt the Lions,lost the 3rd to to Ernest Mejia's 3 run home run. The Golden Eagles clinched 2 games from the Fighters.

Aug
The Golden Eagles defeated the Hawks in both games from Aug 30, including a game winning RBI by Kazu Matsui in the 12th inning. The Buffaloes blasted on Aug 30 to defeat the Lions. But it was the other way around the next day. The Fighters beat the Marines on Aug 30 and the Marines won the next day.

The Fighters beat the Hawks in the first two games from Aug 26, lost the 3rd. The Buffaloes beat the Marines in all 3 games. The Lions Ernest Mejia homered twice to defeat the Golden Eagles on Aug 26. Ginji hit well for the Golden Eagles on Aug 28, to hlep defeat the Lions.

The Marines clinched the game from the Hawks on Aug 22 on Toshiake Imae's game winning RBI. The Hawks won the next with a 2 run by Seiichi Uchikawa. The Marines Yuki Karakawa pitched well for his 2nd win only on Aug 23. The Lions Takeya Nakamura blasted a 3 run and a grand slam on Aug 22 to beat the Fighters. However in the next 2 games it was the Fighters Yoh Daikan who blasted to help the Fighters win. The Buffaloes won the first game against the Golden Eagles. In the next game the Golden Eagles Takahiro Norimoto shut out the Buffaloes. The Golden Eagles won the 3rd game too with a 3 run home run by Kaz Matsui and his 2500 career hit celebrated.

The Hawks played against the Lions from Aug 18. The Hawks won the first, had a draw in the 2nd and lost the 3rd. The Marines the first 2 games from the Buffaloes played from Aug 19, and lost the 3rd. The Fighters Yoh Daikan hit in 2 RBIs to help his team defeat the Golden Eagles on Aug 19. It won the next game too.

The Buffaloes won the first 2 games against the Hawks from Aug 15, but lost the 3rd. The Lions Tomoya Mori homered in the first 2 games from Aug 15 against the Fighters in which the Lions won the first,tied in the 2nd. The teams tied in the 3rd too. The Golden Eagles Takahiro Norimoto shut out the Marines on Aug 15. The Marines won the next. The Golden Eagles won the 3rd on a 2 run home run by Ginji.

The Buffaloes beat the Lions in the 11th inning on Aug 12. They tied in the next. The Bufalloes won the 3rd. The Fighters won on Sho Nakata's home run against the Marines on Aug 12. In fact the Fighters won all 3 games. The Hawks winning streak ended at 9 by losing against the Golden Eagles on Aug 13.

The Hawks are doing so well, on Aug 10 in its game against the Fighter it won its 8th gamw in a row. The Lions won the first 2 games against the Marines from Aug 8. The Golden Eagles did not play at all against the Buffaloes from Aug 8 due to typhoon.

The Hawks beat the Lions in all 3 games from Aug 5. The Marines also beat the Golden Eagles in all 3 games. The Buffaloes defeated the Fighter in the 2 games played.

The Hawks losing streak ended on Aug 2 by defeating the Fighters and also won the next day. The Buffaloes won the first game against the Marines from Aug 1 but lost the next two. The Golden Eagles won the first game against the Lions and lost the next two.

July
The Hawks defeated the Golden Eagles in the first 2 games from Jul 28. It lost the 3rd on Kazuya Fujita's 2 run home run. The Buffaloes returned to 2nd place on Wily Mo Pena's home run against the Lions. The Buffaloes won the next game too, but lost the 3rd. The Fighters clinched the game in the 12th inning on Haruki Nishikawa's 2 run home run from the Marines, won again the next game on Sho Nakata's home run and the 3rd game too.

The Hawks played against the Buffaloes from July 25, won all 3 games,and rose to first place. The Golden Eagles manager Senichi Hoshino was back after a 2 months sick leave from his team but his return could not be celebrated in the first game against the Fighters as Sho Nakata grandslammed and won. The Golden Eagles won the next on Ryo Hirijisawa's RBI. But the team lost the 3rd. The Marines won 2 of the 3 games played against the Lions.

After the all star break, the Buffaloes played against the Fighters from July 21, and won all 3 games. The Hawks won the first and third games from the Marines. The Golden Eagles won the first game against the Lions on Motohiro Shima's RBI, the Lions won the next two.

The Marines defeated the Hawks in the first game its played from July 14. They tied in the next, and the Marines clobbered the opponent in the last. The Golden Eagles won on July 14 with an RBI by Andruw Jones. It won the next, but lost the 3rd in which the Buffaloes Chihiro Kaneko pitched well. The Lions beat the Fighters on July 15. In the next game Shohei Otani pitched for the Fighters and won his 9th game.

The Hawks beat the Fighters in the first two games from Jul 11 and lost the 3rd to Yoh Daikan's RBI. The Lions clinched the 12th inning game against the Buffaloes. The Buffaloes won the next game. It has a devastating defeat on July 13 On Jul 11 Ryo Hijirisawa helped the Golden Eagles win. It didn't win the next game but won on Jul 13.

On Jul 8 the Buffaloes retook first place by defeating the Hawks. But the Hawks won the following day. The Golden Eagles Nishida slammed a 3 run home run to beat the Fighters. The Fighters Shohei Otani was incredible the next game striking out 16 and earning his 8th win. The Lions clinched the game on Jul 8 in the 12th inning from the Marines. It's won the next game too.

The Golden Eagles reversed the game to defeat the Hawks on Jul 5. The Hawks won the next game and surged to first place while the Buffaloes fell to 2nd aft its lost 2 straight games to the Lions. The Fighters Shohei Otani celebrated his birthday on Jul 5 with a 2 run homer to beat the Marines. The Fighters luckily won the next game due to an error.

The Buffaloes beat the Golden Eagles on July 1. From the next game Dave Okubo replaced Yoshinori Sato who was acting on behalf of Senichi Hoshino who's been ill as interim manager of the Golden Eagles. In that game rookie Yuki Matsui won. The Buffaloes won the 3rd game. The Fighters defeated the Lions in all 3 games from July 1. The Marines one the first on Craig Brazell's home run against the Hawks. The Hawks won the next on Lee Dae-Ho's homer, and again the day after on RBIs by Yuki Yanagita.

The Buffaloes played against the Hawks from May 16, and won all 3 to surge to first place. The Fighters won the first 2 games and lost the 3rd to the Marines. The Lions Kishi shut out the Golden Eagles on May 17. In the next game the Lions Hideto Asamura slammed 2 homers to help his team win.

On May 13, the Hawks Nobuhiko Matsuda slammed a 2 run home run to beat the Marines. The next day the Marines Takashi Ogino broke the tie with an RBI. The Hawks won the 3rd game. The Fighters Shohei Otani shut out the Lions on May 13. On May 15, the Fighters marked it 3rd win in a row. The Buffaloes defeated the Golden Eagles in the 2 games they faced.

The Hawks lost the Lions on May 9 to Takeya Nakamura's RBI. But it won the next 2 games against the Lions. The Fighters defeated the Buffaloes in the first game. The Buffaloes won the next on a 3 run home run by Yoshio Itoi. Then the Fighters slammed the Buffaloes in the 3rd. The Golden Eagles Andruw Jones blasted a 3 run home run to defeat the Marines. The Marines won the next. The Golden Eagles won the 3rd on newcomer and former Giants John Bowker's 3 run homer.

The Hawks is ranked first in the league on May 5. It's defeated the Fighters, marking its 4th win in a row on May 7. The Buffaloes won the first 2 games against the Marines, lost on May 7.The Golden Eagles Andruw Jones contributed in the first game against the Lions. The Lions won the next game on Takeya Nakamura's RBI.

The Buffaloes lost all 3 games against the Fighters form May 2. The Lions Takayuki Kishi hurled a no hitter game on May 2 against the Marines and won. The Marines won the next on a homer by Toshiaki Imae. On May 4, the Lions won. The Hawks played close games against the Golden Eagles from May 2. The Hawks won the first and the 3rd, while in the 2nd, the Golden Eagles Andruw Jones homered twice.

On May 1, the Hawks managed to win on home runs by Seiichi Uchikawa and Lee Dae-Ho. The Golden Eagles losing streak ended at 5 by beating the Marines with 2 homers by Andruw Jones and a 2 RBI by Motohiro Shima. The Fighters Sho Nakata homered and helped his team beat the Lions.

The Buffales beat the Hawks in both games from Apr 29. The Golden Eagles lost both games agasint the Marines. The Lions won the first game against the Fighters and the Fighters clinched the next game.

The Buffaloes played well from Apr 25 defeating the Golden Eagles in all 3 games. The Marines too beat the Fighters in all 3 games. The Lions Takeya Nakamura hit in 2 runs to help his team beat the Hawks on Apr 25. The Hawks won the next 2 games.

The Golden Eagles Andruw Jones contributed on Apr 22 with a equalizing home run then in the 12th inning finished the game with another home run against the Lions. The Golden Eagles lost the next, then won the 3rd game. The Buffaloes defeated the Marines on Apr 22, lost the next. The Fighters on Apr 23 marked its 3rd win in a row by beating the Hawks.

The Buffaloes won the game against the Lions on Apr 19, lost the next and won the 3rd. The Hawks tied with the Marines on Apr 19,won on Seiji Uchikawa's 2 run home run. But the Marines won the 3rd game. The Golden Eagles Takahiro Norimoto shut out the Fighters and hurled over the distance. The Golden Eagles won the next game, but lost the 3rd.

The Buffaloes T Okada's RBI helped the team defeat the Fighters on Apr 15. The Buffaloes lost the next but won on Apr 17 on Wily Mo Pena's 3 run home run. The Hawks beat the Golden Eagles in the 2 games played from Apr 15. The Marines won the first 2 games but the Lions won the 3rd on Hideto Asamura's grand slam.

The Buffaloes lost 2 games rom Apr 12 against the Hawks. The Marines beat the Golden Eagles on Apr 11, with Toshiaki Imae's equalizing home run then a game winning RBI. It won the next day too but lost on Apr 13 with a contribution from Brian Wolr. The Fighters lost against the Lions on Apr 11. Takayuki Kishi hurled over the distance. The Fighters Shohei Otani pitched 6 inning against the Lions.

The Buffaloes on Apr 8 recorded its 7th win in a row by beating the Marines. But that winning streak ended the next day on Tadahito Iguchi's 2 RBI. THe Golden Eagles beat the Fighter on Apr 8, lost the next 2 games. The Hawks Nobuhiro Matsuda blasted a 2 run home run to beat the Lions on Apr 8. The next day, the Lions halted its losing streak at 4 but was back in a losing mode on Apr 10.

The Buffaloes shut out the Lions on Apr 4. Wily Mo Pena blasted a 3 run homer the next day to help the team win again. Then on Apr 6 Yoshio Itoi homered for the team's 6th win in a row. The Golden Eagle Kaz Matsui's RBI helped the team beat the Hawks on Apr 4. It lost the next game, but managed to win on Apr 6 on Ginji's RBI. The Marines won it's first game of the seaon on Apr 4 by defeating the Fighters. Then won the next 2 games.

The Golden Eagles faced the Buffaloes from Apr 1 and surprisingly lost all 3 games. The Lions marked its first win of the season in the first game against the Marines. It won the next game too. The 3rd game was rained out. The Fighters Sho Nakata homered against the Hawks in the first game. The Fighters won the next game, again on Sho Nakata's homerun, this time, a 2 run. But on Apr 3, the Hawks won on Kenta Imamiya's game winning RBI.

The Golden Eagles Mar 28 opening game starter was Takahiro Norimoto. He hurled over the distance against the Lions. Kazu Matsui slammed a 2 run home run. The Golden Eagles won the next 2 games. The Hawks Seiichi Uchikawa hit well which included a 3 run home run against the Marines on Mar 28. Yuya Hasegawa contributed to the Hawks win the following day by batting in 2 runs. The Hawks won the 3rd game too on Seiichi Uchikawa's home run. The Fighters and the Buffaloes went into extra innings on the opening game. The Fighters won. It lost the next day as its idol starter Yuki Saito did not pitch well. The Fighers beat the Buffaloes in the 3rd game.
