In the 4th inning, Akira Nakamura hit in a run. Then the Carp's Tomohiro Abe homered.
Seiya Suzuki homered too. But Alfredo Despaigne's 3 run home run gave the team further lead.
Even though Abe grand slammed in the 8th inning, the Carp would not quite make it.
The Hawks won 9 to 8.

Kris Johnson started for the Carp.
For the Hawks, Rick van den Hurk.
Suzuki Seiya contributed with runs, an more runs.
The Hawks could not catch up despite Nobuhiro Matsuda's home run.
The game ended 5 to 1 for the Carp.
